Couldn't resist, so close. How are we all doing today? Thank you again for the always wonderful comments on my journal.

After I posted that journal I decided to make ya'll proud and get my gym time out of the way, so off to the gym I went. I did twenty five minutes on the elliptical, then I ran a mile on the treadmill, and cooled down. All in all about an hour of gym activity. (It's two dollars an hour for tot watch, and I'm not buying two lol) I ran my mile in just under fourteen minutes, which included a few minutes of walking to warm up. Ran at 4.7mph, a new best for this chic. I'm glad I went first thing, as it was easier to go while my husband was still at work, and I felt very accomplished for the rest of the day.

Spent the majority of my afternoon on cleaning up the house, then we did some shopping. We have a Kmart that is going out of business, stopped there and got a good deal on some new shoes for the kiddos. I also got a ten pound dumbbell so I can start doing some upper body workouts I've found on pinterest. I can do a lot with a kettle bell, but I'm super excited to add some dumbbell moves as well.

Which reminds me, I pinned this picture of a girl doing a push up, then reaching to the sky with one arm turning her body vertically to the sky. I wanted to start training so I could do that difficult looking task... gave it a try and as It turns out I can already do that lol. So this got me thinking, what else am I holding myself back from because I still *think* that I'm not strong enough. Interesting, right? To infinity... and beyond!

Nothing special going on today, visiting family and then hopefully spending a quiet evening at home. I hope you all have a wonderful day :-)

Oh, and I also wanted to mention that I stumbled across that bolthouse yogurt dressing and picked up a bottle of salsa ranch... OMG, delicious. Thank you guys for sharing that yummy little secret with me!

I SWEAR I commented on this the other day. Something about doing the superman but only getting the first half of the move down pat. Did you delete me?

No ma'am I would never do such a thing! FS can be wierd sometimes, perhaps it was just a glitch? What is the superman?

It's funny what you can do when you try, especially after you've been at this a while. I didn't think I could run longer than a minute, but it turns out I can. :) If you have a small dumbell (I use 3 lbs because I'm a wimp) you can lay down in superman (flat on the stomach arms out in front of you and legs straight back, then lift them both in the air), with one dumbell in both hands, pass it around your body while opening and closing your legs for about 30 seconds. So, you'd take the weight in the left pass it to your behind, grab it with the right and bring it back to both hands. When I'm typing it out it sounds more complicated than it is. That move is on Jillian Michaels HardBody Level 2, and it works you more than you think it would. You're going to be a buff mamma this summer. :)

Superman was number 3. I got that laying face down in the floor pretty good.

I guess I need to take a closer look at the other moves on that list :-) lol I only have a ten pound dumbbell Mars, but I'll give it a try, and may end up with bella's method lol

If you'd like added weight, you get get weights with velcro clasps you can put on your ankles or wrists. A little more resistance.
