ONLY 15 DAYS UNTIL SPRING

WoOt-Wo0t Down one pound this morning to round out a most fantastic week!! Paying strict attention to both my macro and micronutrients this week again is what I need to do. Simple calorie counting just doesn't get it done. If it did, the difference between my calories in and calories out indicates I should have lost 8 pounds last month (44,634 calories in - 75,445 out = -30,811/28=8.8 pounds). That did so NOT happen.
Off to visit the parents today, dad is recuping nicely at home but of course dying for company. Got some wonderful swordfish and scallops at the fish market yesterday (instead of the cod I was going to make) and I know he will really enjoy that. Mom is making a big salad and we are all set.
I don't know why but I was up at 5:30 today, coffee is now ready, drank a couple cups of water already and now just starting to get hungry for my breakfast. Gonna check around and see what everyone is up to today with the "earlybirds" and will be checking in later tonight.

Hope your Saturday is fantastic, Take charge of your day !!

Oh my, scallops! I love scallops! I craved them when I was pregnant even. Have a great day with your parents and congrats on the weight loss. I do think stress has something to do with all that too. So maybe you are seeing the results of that stress relief.

@ceceps...I know stress absolutely deters weight loss. It throws my whole system out of wack thanks to the cortisol. Google cortisol and you can read up about it.

@Mccmad, I would have to say swordfish tastes nothing like chicken. We are lucky here in the Northeast part of the country where we can get fresh line-caught (as opposed to net-caught) fish. The best part is I have a small fish market in my town where they only buy line caught seafood. We eat alot of fish up here and we just love it every which way, although personally I am not big on fried fish. Broiled with a squeeze of lemon is my favorite!

Mmmm, Babs. I love scallops and swordfish. It is sooo good. Great job with the pound loss this week. Getting back into your routine helps immensely. Enjoy your visit with your mom and dad! Hugs, Babs, and have a great day! :)

Thanks Stef, had a great visit and lunch with mom and dad today. We all really enjoyed the seafood with the yummy salad mom made.

Hi Babs - it is SO TRUE - I would have lost four or five pounds a week if calorie counting worked. Maybe it is that way for an eighteen-year-old boy that has a revved up metabolism and can eat 6000 calories a day and not gain a pound. Unfortunately, our metabolisms slow down as we age. Did you enjoy your trip to Hatfield? My spine doctor who was giving me the pain-blocking shots his office is right near the Hatfield border with Northampton, thankfully the herbs are helping my arthritis dramatically since then. I will be able to ride a bike again in the next month or so and will get around town that way...

@Glenn, we had a marvelous day with my parents, thanks for asking. I know exactly where your doc is, that is also where my dads doc is that did his hip replacement. Good news about the biking soon, just watch out for the potholes!

Yes - there are lots of potholes everywhere. I tend to ride my bike on sidewalks or bike trails if at all possible. This year the prolonged cold, then ice, which melted often off and on has even left some sidewalks a mess...
