Now we're talking, 191.8 today! I knew I was more stubborn than the weight was! :p Maybe pushing an extra couple bottles of water yesterday helped.

About to get my workout going, then heading to the market after breakfast as I seem to have exhausted most of my fruit supply here at home. You know, I have never liked strawberries, until this summer. Now it's one of my favorite fruits. I find I enjoy fruit so much when I'm not eating junk. I think when I am accustomed to sweets, the fruit just doesn't taste so sweet in comparison...get that junk out of the system though, and the flavors and sweetness of the fruit really come through. It's amazing how blind you can be to what junk food is doing to you until you finally break away from it.

I have chicken tenderloins marinating in the refrigerator, in a mixture of caesar dressing, olive oil, and garlic. Will broil those this evening and serve them with either brown rice or sweet potato...haven't committed yet. :) Haven't cooked these in some time, looking forward to a little change.

Have a great day, buddies!

Sweet potatoes!! LOL, I've been craving sweet potatoes, and I'm going to go get some today, then I'm having them for dinner. So if your taking votes, lol, sweet potatoes! And I know what you mean about certain fruit and veggie flavors being different. I've noticed the same in myself. I used to really not like tomatoes too much, in the thinking they were too acidic and I don't know just Bleh, and yesterday as I was eating the orange tomatoes that I had bought, I thought to myself how my taste buds must have changed because they tasted sweet to me. I polished them off happily, instead of because I knew they were good for me :)

Yeah, I think all the sugar laden things I ate before just tainted everything else I ate. Strawberries and blueberries are both relatively new on my "like" list...and I'm in my 40's!

Way to go!! I too love the taste of strawberries, really all berries. They really quench that sweet tooth for me. That dinner sounds delish!

Shia, I really used to only like the basics...apples, oranges, some melon here and there. And I do eat a lot of cantaloupe now. I really love having strawberries with my lunch though....and once I learned a cup of strawberry halves is only about 50 calories, I was really sold! lol They taste so sweet now that my taste buds aren't messed up.

Yes---so true about when you're not eating junk you enjoy fresh fruit more. Taste buds can definitely change. (Maybe not the buds but our taste preferences, surely.) Congrats on the loss and enjoy your dinner. Sounds yum.

Thanks beets_yum, I decided on the sweet potato! :) Madaboutmoose, I'm giving it all I've got. Would be nice to make it into the 180's sometime next week. Last winter I made it as far as 184.4, so that's definitely a goal I am eyeing! Probably about a month away from that one though.

Excellent break through that small plateau onmyway! Be careful with *too* many strawberries as they absorb a lot of pesticides and there are those which suggest restricting the amount of non-organic strawberries to only a few per season. Sorry to even have to mention that since I love berries of all kinds. Have a great day!

Way to go onmyway. You really are on your way and almost there! I am going to set a small goal to hit 250 by September. I aways set big goals like 150 in one year. But from listening to you guys maybe the small successes are the way to go. I broke 250 last summer but I got the H1N1 and had gained it all back 279 by April 2010. Started to watch what I was eating in June and I am feeling so much better. And you are so right, real food tastes so much better now. Again Congrats Onmyway you are doing awesome.

That's interesting info, Info. :) Hadn't heard that. Probably not much of a problem for me now, as there wasn't a strawberry to be found when I was at the market this morning. Guessing they are suddenly out of season? Will have to settle for melons instead. Paddy, definitely set some smaller goals for yourself...it helps you to really see the progress you are making. Right now I have an overall goal of 170, but a smaller goal of losing 5 lbs every four weeks.
