I'm starting to keep track of my eating habits and weight because I was just recently diagnosed as prediabetic. The doctor says that diet and exercise will do me a lot of good. So I said to myself "It's time for a life style change". Wish me luck!
A little more about me,I'm married and I have 3 children ages 12, 10, and 4. All of whom keep me busy. All of my kids are at ages where it's great to play with them. That's another reason for wanting to lose the pounds. I'd like to play with my kids without getting winded and out of breath within 2 minutes of starting an activity. I'd also like to be a good example for them by showing them healthy choices. I'd like to be thinner for my hubby to. I was thinner when we met 5 years ago, and my weight has yo-yo'd since the birth of our son. He's never complained, and still tells me I'm beautiful. Still chases me like it's puppy love, but I guess I want to be able to feel beautiful when he tells me so, instead of feeling like he's saying it because I'm his wife.
I started my new lifestyle change about 1 month before I found FS, and had no weight loss. I was trying to count calories on my own carrying around paper and pen, and sometimes guessing. Then I found FS and by the next month I had made progress. When I first started out calorie counting I thought I was starving. I felt like the cat in my profile pic who's eating an invisible sandwich. Angry and hungry. Now with all the information and support I've gotten here my goal doesn't seem impossible anymore. I've got the tools to make it happen. So thanks FS!
