I think the key to losing weight is letting yourself get a little hungry and then don't stuff yourself when you do eat. And for me, it's gotta be low carb. Simple, right?

I feel thinner than I did when I was last at this weight about a month ago. My clothes are even looser. There are so many mysteries to fat loss and weight loss. I'm having fun with it now that i'm losing again. I have hope! 30-35 more lbs to my goal, it feels close and I'm going to be nice and thin.

I had a first date last night (internet dating), and he said, "You are cuter than I expected." I still have some fatter pictures on my profile, maybe I should change those. It's hard to find very many pictures of me doing fun stuff because in most of them I am a LOT heavier. Date was ok, I'll give him another try.
193.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 29.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Cuter than expected is better than uglier than expected! I always wonder if the guys that meet me feel I match-up to my profile photos. I'm sure a few of them weren't as impressed inperson - the superficial shallow ones that never called or asked for a 2nd date.

Love this journal!!! So encouraging!!! You are adorable in your profile photos. Your plan is so simple!!! So hard to do day in day out. Have a good one. So glad your goal feels close. What do you do for exercise??

@Jess my last date sent me a text that said, "you are pretty but I didn't feel a connection." At least he was honest and didn't just disappear. It was mutual. @Sharon Thanks for the comps, I don't exercise a lot, just hiking and weight lifting a couple times a week. Hiking makes good dates, low pressure to make conversation. Too much exercise while I'm losing makes me hungrier with no weight-loss benefit. It does shape my body though, I like that part.

It's so strange how our bodies can reshape and resize without a lot of correlation to what the scale says. That's one of the most difficult things I've had to deal with since beginning weight training - that I can have no weight loss or even gain but be thinner than I was before. With so many people on dating sites trying to sell themselves as younger and thinner than they currently are, I'm sure that meeting you and seeing you are "cuter than expected" is a refreshing change for most.

He must have thought your pictures were cute to start with, so being cuter is a happy start to a relationship .... think I would leave the old picts. Congrats on your continued weight loss, this summer you can change those pictures to swimsuit shots!

No swimsuit shots unless there is some plastic surgery involved...which I'm NOT planning, btw.

You are staying that course and that is something to proud of and it is very encouraging to the rest of us. Cuter than expected is quite a compliment, as far as I am concerned...lol. I am glad that the date was okay enough to merit a second try. The scale is moving on a downward slope!!
