I wish I would get too full!

That is why i keep my protein intake so high. Keeps you feeling full quicker and longer! I will have to check out your food diary later.

Try getting it up to 100 a day for a week and see if that helps. Yours looks like its usually around 60

I took a peek at your food diary, and it looks like you use a protein powder. I used to use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard - Natural Vanilla and it tasted awesome, but it was sooo pricey I stopped using it. What do you use if you don't mind me asking? I used to buy mine from Amazon, it was $52.99 for a 5lb tub. I also had a nurse(when I went to a free clinic) tell me that if I get too much protein my liver could fail?! But she didn't know how much was too much... Have you heard of this before?

I think it would take an INSANE amoutn of protein for that... but what do I know lol. I use Designer Whey that I get online at The Vitamin Shop. The 4 pounder is about 43.00 I think with free shipping. I usually buy the 2 pound. I tried ON but like this better. Not the highest protein or lowest carb but pretty good and I think the Choc, strawberry and vanilla almond and praiine are all pretty yummy. Got away from my shakes since winter but trying to get back. I think the best tasting ones are always more lol.

Blue Box, I was averaging 200g a day for 6 months and when I had a liver panel and other bloodwork done, it all came back fine. I was supplementing with protein powder daily and mainly eating chicken and fish at the time. If you're hitting the weights, your body's going to need the protein for muscle repair and recovery!

thynes, a nice cold protein shake would have been divine yesterday, it was 76 degrees here! I'll have to check out the different flavors, they sound delicious! Vanilla almond? Praline? Yum!

The cheapest I have found is Body Fortress at walmart. Like 17.00 for 2 lbs. I would be way more worried about my liver if I was an alcoholic or something. I agree with CJT1217 I have even read a bunch of articles and no one can tell you how much is too much. I am doing what I feel is best which is eating clean. As little processed foods as possible. Going to make some protein bars this weekend so I can quit occasionally eating those too!

CJT1217, that makes me feel better about starting back up again. When I used the protein powder I think I averaged 100g a day, maybe 130g.

I use a whole ice tray of ice and crush it to nothing. Then I add the rest of the stuff listed on my protein shake list and yum!

Were you full longer when you had all the protein?

iamachristianjesusfreak, honestly I can't remember. But looking back on my diet calendar, I must have been fuller... Or I must have been more disciplined, because I went over my RDI maybe 4 times a month instead of everyday. I just have to stop making excuses and buy some protein powder. :P I'm just such a cheapskate that anything I can do to cut out costs, I will. :)

Well if you are eating less it is cheaper when you look at the big picture

I use Body Fortress Whey Isolate. Best bang for the buck that I've found! Packs 30g protein with 1-2g carbos per scoop. One scoop in between meals would definitely satiate my hunger. I'll post a pic when I was hardcore on protein and low carb. For me, the strategy paid off well.
