The Blue Box's Journal, 12 January 2013

You know when you have too much to eat and you dread stepping on the scale? That was me this morning. Ugh, and I knew I was eating too much last night, but I just didn't want to stop. I was playing video games and talking to friends and the time flew by. Before I knew it the pretzels and chips and salsa that I was snacking on were gone. A weeks worth of weight loss gone in one night... Bleh...

Do I feel awful about it? Yes. Will it happen again? No.

Back on track today!
105.4 lb Lost so far: 9.2 lb.    Still to go: 3.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

If you snack while playing you could just measure out a serving or two of chips and salsa that way you don't eat the whole bag/jar....I know if I'm just sitting around watching tv or playing games I can go through a whole bag of chips without even thinking about it!

I agree with mntwinsfan. I weigh it and record it so I know what I am getting myself into before snacking. Or I just decide to eat something healthy so I won't want to snack anyhow. I also chew gum instead when I want to eat but I am not hungry.

mntwinsfan, that is exactly what happened to me! When friends come over I like to have something for them to snack on while we entertain, and I thought I could control my snacking... but I guess not... I'll have to measure out a small portion just for me. :)

iamachristianjesusfreak, gum is a great idea, I'll have to run out and buy some, and I bet there are some awesome flavors out now. :) Next time I have salsa and chips I'll have to go heavy on the salsa and light on the chips!
