Stressful day. Snacking a bit too much. Managed to get a two mile walk in though.
Need an entire HVAC system and ductwork.
Glad that our thermostat went out on the fifth, the repairman found black mold in the part of the system that was under the house because he had to check the wiring. He disconnected that part of the system so that we could have air until the new system could be installed.
We just bought the house eight months ago, you’d think that the inspector would have detected the issue. That part is frustrating, not to mention the astronomical costs.
On the upside, the company we hired is working quickly to get is up and running, it’s 93 here today and tough on my husband who suffers from congestive heart failure.
They have been very accommodating.
I could use a drink 🙄 😂

I was just telling a friend on the phone that the few times I did day drink I managed to wait until 4pm; it was 2pm at the time and I laughed that it had to be 4pm somewhere. But you and I both know it isn't the answer and it's likely contributing to the problem. So let's deal with our lives sober today.

I did pass on the drink lol! I usually only have a few on holidays or vacation. If I day drink on a rare occasion, it’s one or two because I would be in bed asleep before sundown. 😂

It sounds like a night in a hotel might be the best thing for you and your husband. The heat combined with his condition is no joke.

I’m sorry all this happened at once😔. That’s an awful lot. I’m very sure you’re overwhelmed. It is one of my big fears that appliances will fail at the same time. At our house 9 years and replaced the microwave twice, but our ac went out last year. Now we have window units and burn wood in the winter. Our goal was to fix it but taking in 2 nieces it went out the window. Now they’re both home since my sister was brought in front of court for child support 😔😔. She still leaves nightlightly, and we’re left with nothing. She pressured them so hard that the oldest asked my dad if her mom only wanted her back because of the hearing.

Check to see if you got a whole house warranty included when you purchased. A lot of times, it's just tossed in these days. Since you just bought eight months ago, it might fall under that first year of coverage.

I did Kat we did have a home warranty, but they wouldn’t cover the system. We had a water heater problem nit long after we moved in, that wasn’t covered either. The seller wasted their money, because that home warranty stuff is a big joke!

Oh, that sucks. You might tell them you are going to file a complaint with your state's insurance commission to see if that nudges them along at all. I got a check out of the blue for $300 a couple years ago because they got sued for denying too many claims in CA. If nothing else, it's a little fun that could end with a payout.
