It's a wonder how some bad habits seem to replace others! Why do we always have to cheat on ourselves in one way or another? OK, so I'm feeling impatient about this darned weight thing! Yes, I'm at my goal, but if I don't get below it pretty soon, my next little trip (to Lake Powell!) will put me way OVER my goal.

I've been eating well since Monday when I had too many carbs, and yet it doesn't show on my graph. I KNOW I eat too much salt -- and certainly did yesterday -- so that messes up my weigh-in; and I KNOW that too much butter and cream can slow things down, and yet I eat them anyway. Yes, butter is ok and cream is ok -- don't worry!!! But my "bad habit" is to nibble on little pieces of butter as I prepare dinner, or treat myself with 1/2 c of cream with Splenda! Yum! [Cream? I think I hear an echo that sounds like Dave!] I wonder if the real culprit is that I haven't gotten enough sleep all week for one reason or another. By the time I'm home from my day, I'm so tired I lose that masterful control I need to face the dinner hour! I'm avoiding green tea too late in the day because the caffeine keeps me awake until the wee hours, and I've also given up the bourbon & Fresca in the evening, since all that liquid is what wakes me in the night! [Can I do shots, I wonder?]

So, I've decided to take my own good advice and do what I can to fine-tune my diet . . . and hang on for the bumpy ride because there's no way I'll stop weighing in every day! Maybe confession really is good for the soul and now that I've owned up to my bad habits (butter, cream, salt, bourbon -- did ya get all that?) I'll feel more compelled to be a good example for you guys!!! Anyway, have a great day!

Wow, I've never thought about that cream thing, what does it taste like? It's really hard to keep track of every little thing that effects us. The nuts, the cheese, the cream - but when you do, you see the results. You'll be fine, you just might need to keep really watching it for another week.

It just tastes like cream and sugar like I put on blueberries . . . and then I figured "who needs blueberries?" My bad!

NIbbling on butter? How.....different. heheh :) Ill have to try that cream and splenda concoction...but maybe 1/8 cup..1/2 cup just seems..sinful!

Who needs potatoes when you have cream with strawberries or cream with blueberries - or, in this case, just cream!! I know what you mean about the little habits that aren't necessarily bad for you individually, sneaking up on you and accummulating all at once. And your "sins list" sounds so decadent!!! I think what you are doing - a little self evaluation - is just what we all need to do every couple weeks. Even our good habits are not so good if we get carried away with them.

You're aware of what you're doing and you know how to correct it. That's half the battle! Not getting enough sleep definitely doesn't help the weight loss cause either. You know what you have to do and I'm sure you'll get 'er done! :) The part of your chart that shows your weight maintenance is pretty awesome!! Kudos to you!

Ohhh Gramn... sorry I didn't reply earlier... (was too busy scraping the end of my creambowl!!!!). Now listen here to me Missus..Don't make me come over there, roll up me sleeves, adopt an attitude, and BORE you into looking after yourself... Sleep is like gas in the tank... ya Need it! We all know how brilliant ya are... so relax into it... I find that going to bed and counting cream bubbles jumping over stawberries till I fall asleep helps.. *s*. Catch ya later..

Bourbon & fresca? will have to give that a try. Have you tried fresca & tequila? I wonder the citrus fresca will sub for a margarita. margaritas are my downfall at the club/bar and I haven't found a good work around. :) As the scales haven't got too far off the mark I am sure you get back from the 'dark side' before the week is out!
