The weigh in this morning went very well. I lost 8 lbs. last week. Only 2 more to go before reaching my low from before the shingles. I am feeling a lot better even though I am still tired all the time. I can't tell if that is from the shingles or just from being so run down from stress.

I started putting Splenda in my iced tea the last few days just to give myself a mental break from the lack of sweetness in my WOE. I never was a real sugar hound but I think cutting out all sugar and fruits has made me crave it more. I think I will try to encorporate a little fruit and back off the Splenda. I should be able to keep the carb count low if I track it.

I like FullaBella's "yes you can" voice. I started using it myself. Whenever I start to think I can't stick to my diet, I turn on the "yes you can" voice. It's working so far, So, thanks Fulla.

Today I am thankful to my husband for getting me out the door on time. I am thankful for financial stability. I am thankful for my health!
234.4 lb Lost so far: 80.2 lb.    Still to go: 74.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Most of that is water weight. The 2 weeks before last, I had been eating a ton of carbs which caused me to gain 10 lbs. so, I still have 2 to go before I am clear of that gain. I am soooo happy that I am shedding the water weight but it's by no means the usual amount of weight loss. I had hoped to be in the 220's by now but life intervened. Now I will be overjoyed if I get into the 220's before the end of the year.

I am so glad you are recovering from your shingles event, and resuming your pattern of weight loss - yay for you!

That's incredible! You are really sticking to it, and I'm glad you are feeling better. I bet you start getting more energy now that you are not eating so many carbs. It takes a bit for your blood sugar/insulin response to level out. I like Splenda, I use it in my coffee and tea. One time I even used it to sweeten whipped cream, but that is just a little too good on my blackberries, and I felt kind of sick. Oh, and Costco has a big container of wonderful fresh blackberries for $3.99. I suspect they are not local :-)

Awesome on that loss girl..I like that yes you can thing too...it really does help when I want something not so good for me to eat..so yes Thank You Fulla...:O)

Wowza 8lbs in one week! Color me jealous but proud of my very good buddy. So hows the constant cookie conversation outside the cube going today?? Or did you finally toss them all in the trash and blame the Grinch? (the cookies, not the employees)

The cookies disappeared, but not by my hands, lol. Today they had a catered lunch, but it was actually very healthy: grilled salmon and chicken breasts, grilled veggies, etc.
