Djburney's Journal, 14 September 2012

I'm reading an excellent book which explains the real science behind hCG, and how I can eat so few calories and not be hungry or lose muscle or have a drop in my metabolism. It's called Weight-Loss Apocolypse. Fascinating stuff.

Planked 2 minutes yesterday, meant to do more last night but forgot until I was already in bed.

That diet is so controversial. Many studies show there is no science behind it and it's basically starving yourself while taking pregnancy hormones. Other people swear by it. I would read books with an objective eye. If it helps you and you feel good, than that's a great thing. Your chart looks great so something is working.

I think that the diet has worked in Deb's case. Look at the chart..numbers don't lie. The only thing to make sure is that you don't ignore the need to eat. If you look at her chart she has been eating. Sometimes "the science" may not capture all the outcomes. Maybe in those control groups they did not respond to the diet..amybe for some people it does help. Its like for those that say avoinding carbs is not a scientifically proven way to lose weight...I'd say check out my chart...Its all a matter of whether it works for you. As long as the diet does not harm you, then as long as it works for you, keep at it.

This book is explaining a lot. There were new findings unrelated to hCG in the 1990's, and this doctor has linked a newly discovered hormone to how hCG works. I'm going to start posting each day what I learn, kind of like notes for myself, and you are both welcome to read them. One thing I really like about this book is that the focus is on emotional eating and overcoming it through the hCG protocol. I think that I am already well on my way there. Thanks for the support and comments!
