I lost one more pound, which is putting me one pound closer to not being obese any more. I weighed at the gym today, and they have a pretty new doctor's scale, not one of the old school ones, but one a little more precise - the bottom big weight has increments of 25 pounds instead of 50. This is also my new lowest weight since I started this journey. It's frustrating for me to lose one pound at a time. I like losing two, three pounds at a time and seeing big dips in the chart in my weight history. I went to Braum's on the way home from the gym and bought 2 cartons of No Sugar Added Frozen Yogurt. Pisses me off that I have to run all over town, not just to the grocery store but to Walmart, Target, Braum's, all to just buy sugar free stuff that I like. No one store carries everything that I like so I spend my weekends running these crazy errands. I was also excited that I ran again today for the first time in about 2 weeks. I was really worried that I would be winded or in pain, but I wasn't. I felt a little twinge in my injured foot, but not bad. I told myself I would run for 5 minutes and see how I felt. I was still okay, so I ran for almost 8 minutes - a half mile. I decided to stop at that point because it still felt good and I didn't want to risk reinjury. Still, I felt very successful with that little half mile run. I was really worried that I couldn't get back into it, that stopping for 2 weeks was going to make it so hard that I dragged my feet about it. Well, that didn't happen, and I'm going to run again tomorrow. I doubt if I'll make a 5K by October, but maybe if there's one in December I could do that. We'll see.

I am so proud of you! One pound is a lot considering how much effort it takes to lose that pound. =) Are you not allowed sugar at all? I can't remember if your diabetic or not. If you can have yogurt you can just freeze it yourself and save the running. These are super easy! http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2012/02/coolest-easiest-yummiest-yogurt-pops.html http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2012/03/frozen-yogurt-dots.html

Diana thank you for your kind comment. Yes, I am a diabetic and I am not supposed to have sugar at all. I really love the No Sugar Added ice creams and yogurts I can buy at the store because to me they taste almost like the real thing. It's not just frozen yogurt that I run around buying - candy, nuts, cake mix, frosting, pudding mix - all sugar free.

Every lb lost is a celebration! :) diana1096 is right...it takes a lot of work for that lb! Way to go on the running as well! Setting a goal of 5 minutes and going 8 is impressive! You are heading in the right direction on your journey!
