I love to play Colorado 12 when I golf..... Son gets a little upset. Says that 8 is enough. I told him that he is too young for that TV show...

They ride around on little carts and drink so much booze they can't hit the golf ball. Or so I've been told. 😂

I was told once by an old man at church that golf was a very sophisticated game for people who were not given to such frivolity... smh. I wonder what that old man got up to on the golf course now that I have learned different

Golf originated, by some accounts, in Scotland. Sophisticated and Scots... I have some Scottish ancestry, pass the Johnnie Walker, will ya?

Golf must be fun - we have raffles at my fishing club's annual banquet and one member always seems to get a golf course to donate to the raffle. He then buys tickets and puts his tickets in that raffle and usually wins that prize while other fishermen are trying to win fishing trips. He is SO happy about it. Does it every year:)

@VAM49 - sounds like fun. We've been doing the "All Day Golf Tournament" (used to be called "The Longest Day of Golf") I believe this was around our 30th year, and I hadn't thought about this but we never had a rainy day except last year we had to delay it about 3 hours... lucky. I think my cousin and I started it when I was 18-20... somewhere in there. We have a trophy that travels with a logo ball of the course each year and the name of the winner on it. It had gotten up to about 20-25 guys at one point when we were much younger, and it used to be on the longest day of the year from sunrise to sunset on this course that would absolutely accommodate us, the owner would bring a bbq grill in that day and play a round with us... it was just this small course with an "all day" price. I think the record was 196 holes. The course we used to do it at called me the day they were closing and invited as many of those guys I could pull together to come play the last round, said our group represented exactly what they built the course for, "a bunch of guys, maybe not too good at golf, just wanting to have a good time." We do lots of prizes, lots of little contests for a bunch of holes... lots of liquid carbs... lots of craziness. Now it's a 2 day event, the first day is a bbq and staying at a casino, then golf at the crack of dawn, still feeling the effects of the night before, but we're way too old now to play more than 36 holes.
