I wish I had a guaranteed solution to share with you. Have had the same problem mostly just bouncing around a 5 lb weight range but can't seem to get back to losing weight after about a 50 lb drop over 8 months. My consolation is the results I am getting from my exercise program, the way I feel and the changes in my body shape. Stick with it an

Here is my opinion: you need to eat some vegetables. Pat yourself on the back because you have lost about 3 pounds a week since March 4, and start substituting in your substitution. The soylent ingredients list maltodextrin as their main ingredient - you have been living on sugar and soy protein as half your intake. I think it is time to start on retraining your body to other foods. Packaged salad mixes and frozen vegetables can be just as easy as ripping open a soylent package. You are definitely not eating enough fiber so the weight gain might just be lack of bulk to clear out your digestive system. Just my two cents. I looked into a lot of the packaged diet solutions and found that I couldn't live on them forever, that I would have to make other choices at some point or start taking serious supplements, vitamins, and fiber drinks, and I just figured I would keep tweaking the food til something worked. Best of luck in figuring it out - also, drink your water every day as well, that can also counterintuitively reduce water retention.

Can I ask why you're doing Soylent?

You've lost so much weight! Don't get dicouraged! .4 lbs is nothing! That is only 4 oz. That is easily a bit of water weight. Don't get discouraged.

I know that I go up and down a pound or so from week to week...and I am really consistent in my WOE. My body is just working in this mode - it is pretty stable overall and I feel good. My plan is for the rest of my life so I am not going to get too upset at it. if it starts trending or a pattern develops - I'll dig into it more. I wish you all the best on your adventure.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I'm doing Soylent for the convenience. I work 70 hours a week and don't have time to measure my food carefully, much less think about what I want to eat or make it. The ability to simply have an exact amount of calories and nutrition makes me stick to my plan. I do eat food for breakfast—eggs with a lot of spinach and onions, and a sausage for protein. Same thing every day, so I don't have to think about it. My water intake is about 32 ounces a day, but I could increase that if it will help. The only thing I can think of is that maybe this past few days I've been too stressed out because I had to travel for work and run a couple of large workshops for people. Hopefully if I stick to my plan, I'll see results again next week.

That’s probably just water weight, or poop/undigested food or a combination of all. Don’t worry about it

Definitely up the water - I drink about 80 ounces a day. Total ounces coffee, tea, and water is supposed to be your weight divided by 2, so count the coffee and other liquids as well to get to 110 ounces.

I'd drink more water. If your body is dehydrated it will try to hold on to what little water is being drunk. But when it is hydrated it releases what it doesn't need and runs more smoothly. Also, I don't know what you do for work but some jobs and some positions can cause swelling(edema), especially if you don't lie down/sleep enough or put your feet up from time to time.

Remember that weight is a ax not a scalpel. The goal is a decrease in the amount of fat stored in your body, weight is an indicator of that. It can also indicate other things like water, food, bone, muscle, etc. Also, bathroom scales are super noisy and can't be trusted too much. Try again next week and see if it has dropped. I'm pretty sure it will have. Another thing to try is to weigh in everyday and get annoyed at how inconsistent the number is. There are tools like the Libra android app which helps smooth out the fluctuations.

I agree about the water. Try to get at least 96 oz. in a day. Your body will start releasing fluid and next thing you know you'll be down a few pounds. You got this!

Good tips on the water, also, everyone. I'll do that, too!
