I have a question. I'm following the FS diet 100%, exercising 1hr in the morning and 1hr in the afternoon, and drinking 64+ ozs of water/day. I started doubling up on the exercise to get out of this plateau.

Well, I couldn't stand it and got on the scale this morning to see if the changes worked and I'm back at 155!!!!! I don't get it. The only thing I can come up with is that the extra exercise is making me gain muscle (which is fine). I know it's not fat because I've really noticed my body getting leaner in the last few weeks. Not to mention all my clothes are falling off me. It has to be muscle gain. What do you think???

Most likely. Remember, the scale doesn't want to be your friend. If you feel good and your clothes are loose, you are reshaping your body and losing inches. Not to mention, you're doing all you can to follow the diet so just keep it up and the scale will match the way you feel sooner or later.

I would have to agree with the muscle gain...which like you said isn't a bad thing. I don't think you have anything to worry about, if you feel good and your cloths are falling off you are doing the right thing....the scale is just that....a scale and truly doesn't mean much when you are toning and gaining muscle....if you feel good and look good that is all that matters!!! Keep up the great work!

If you are seeing that many changes in your body who cares what the scale says! I would be jumping up and down if my clothes were getting that loose. If you are following 100% you have to be losing weight...just that simple. Try not to weight everyday...the scale with fluxuate so much and it is frustrating.. . pay attention to the changes you can see... you being leaner and feeling better. Your doing awesome...stick to it!!!

I always blame it on muscle gain, even when I have had a plate full of french fries with fake cheese and even faker bacon bits! I look at it the way Hedder52 does...if the clothes fit....that is the guide. You are also drinking a lot of water and that could account for some of the gain. I have a great scale that tells you your body fat and water content of your body. It got me over that..."I am working out like a fiend and eating rabbit pellets and still gaining weight" phase because you can see the amount of body fat. Keep up the good work!

I agree with Thomas and Heather, which is why I try to put more stock in my measurements and how the clothse are feeling. You are doing so well, don't let the dumb scale discourage you!
