Hiking is definitely an underrated form of cardio. Throw on a backpack with some water, a snackbar, some gloves, hat, first aid kit, and anything else you can think of, find a good and safe trail with plenty of hills to make you work, and go at it for a 1-3 hours and you'll reap the mystical and wonderous results from hangin out with mother nature and walking her trails. Although in my case last night, it was 3.5 hours and 10.4 miles at Briones State Park in Martinez, CA. Hell to the ya. Back on track!

nice work. i hope i can get something liket that done before summer is over. During my race this weekend in the Black Hills I could almost see how hiking it would be fun. I say almost, because ya know I was just flying by so fast on my run that I hardly had time to look at the scenery! :P They have a series of trail runs during the summer. If I get to feeling confident I'm healed up enough in the heel, it's tempting to try. Of course, this means yet ANOTEHR set of footwear! I buy about 4-5 pairs of sneakers a year.

Although I am from the bay originally I have never hiked out there. My friend wants to take me up Mt. Diablo but we just haven't found the time yet. We live up in the foothills outside of Sacramento and there are TOOOOOONS of beautiful hikes up here. It's a great area to camp and hike all at the same time.

:D Ya, it kicked ass. The park has 4 no-joke hills I'd say that have sections that run between 30-40 degrees in some parts which I've dubbed Monster Hill, Quad-Blaster, Poop-Hill, and the Table-Top Slide. Me and my buddy hit up Poop-hill and Monster Hill last night. Whew! Vicki, I have a present for any animals that want to take a piece of me... my fist!! whoosha!! haha, and a little 3.5 inch foldy knife. hehe. Ya, Jess, hiking is freakin awesome. Taking it nice and slow and taking in nature's beauty. I can feel the energy of it all... the air's fresher and there's way less stupid people around :) I use a pair of New Balance crosstrainers. Just keep an eye on the trail and you shouldnt trip over or in anything :D. Baily, Mt Diablo is a pretty good hike! I did the trail starting from the north west which is 7 miles to the top. It was work, but we knocked out the round trip in about 6-7 hours. Definitely a feat. What I like to brag about is the week before I hiked Mt Tamalpais in Marin the week before, and then the week after I hiked El Capitan in Yosemite. The only thing that could've made the story better would have been hiking Mt Whitney the weekend after that!! But, that hike has eluded me thus far, but soon enough I'll knock it out. Did you know that it's the highest peak in the lower 48 states at 14,500 feet of elevation? Who wouldnt want to hike up that bad boy?? Although, it kind of reminds me of Moordor from LOTR... just without the lava ;)

Nice work!! You're making me super excited about my Montana vacation in 1.5 weeks!! Also, Clifford... I would love to see you punch a mountain lion... :) And I love that you named a hill "Poop-Hill" - ha! Will you de-buddy me if I tell you that I have neither read nor watched the LOTR trilogy??

I've TOTALLY read/watched them all then!! :) :) Did you find the tutorial that Kingkeld posted? I sent you a message with the link to his directions - it has always worked for me!! Does this mean that we are getting a shirtless pic??? :)

Or is it a pic of you punching a mountain lion?

I'm not afraid to admit it. I've never watched LOTR. I had to think about that acronym for awhile to get it.

Well, I have one of those pics, but it's only a 3 pack pic hahah. I love LOTR! I'm such an effin geek. :D

how did you get a 3 pack? is it just all three on one side? or a mis-matched top 2, and one of the second row?
06 Jun 12 by member: JessWhatINeeded
I've got the two on top... but just one where the other 4 should be! The obliques are starting to come in as well :)

I've got... a 1-pack.. or something...
06 Jun 12 by member: erika2633
I used to have a 1 pack too, but I called it my keg since it was spawned from beer swigging, shot shooting, and fast food destroying! Yikes!

I have a 2-pack of tall boys I think. I can see delineation down the middle to my belly button, but it's not muscle, just s chub fold. my calves are 15in around though! massive.
