Just a quick note b/c I'm exhausted. I'm in TN today. Drove about 10 hours so my sister could do some reading for school. Also chose to drive rather than sit b/c I get bored easily, but I know driving burns more calories than sitting since you concentrate more. Well I looked it up just for the fun of it and driving 10 hours today I burned about 1200 cals vs. the 600 burned if I'd just been sitting! Every bit helps, right? Plus I'm trying to get stuff in where I can. I requested my parents to see if the hotel we were going to stay at had a gym, and they got my sister and I one that was a little more expensive but DID have one, yay! Mom said (jokingly) that it was $30 more a night, so I better be in the gym 5 hours a day, lol. I also did some sink pushups while waiting for my sister in a rest area bathroom today.

So yep. Here we are for a few days so my sister can take some voice lessons. Then back to SC (Charleston) then to Greenville for the weekend. I don't even think I'm going home. Oh well, keeps me busy!

Off to get some sleep, luckily her lesson isn't until late tomorrow afternoon so we can sleep in.

Way to make it work for you! Good job on gettin' in a little more moving... not sure I'd join you with push ups in a rest stop .. lol but good for you!! Every little bit does definitely help! Have fun!

I loved your gym request! I do that very same thing when we go traveling. I bring the IPOD and make the best of it! have a fun trip!

Every bit definitely does make a difference! Just a thought, if you have a laptop, when you travel and take it with you, you can pop in a workout DVD or find workouts online and save them to your computer! It might help if that extra $30 a night isn't always going to be an option :P I have turbojam and even after 10 minutes I can tell I'm getting a great workout.

I love calorie-burning while driving. I dance while I'm driving too to burn extra calories. (Maybe not for ten hours though :). Have fun on your trip!
