Out the door at 6:00 this morning for an easy 3.0 mile run. I say easy; I just mean "snail's pace." Anyway, I'm out there. No pressure. Not preparing for any race in particular. Just keeping the blood flowing and the joints moving, so maybe the grandkids won't cripple me in a few years when we're enjoying a game of baseball, or wrestling, or bungee jumping (JK). :D So, finished my run about 1/2 mile on the other side of the local convenience store, leisurely walked back to the store, grabbed a cup of coffee and walked another 1/4 mile back to the old schoolhouse. A nice beginning to the day.

Did very well, staying below my RDI last night. That may have to be adjusted in the near future. I may be expecting too much from an RDI of 2300 calories. Last night DW called me at work and told me she wanted to go to Monicals for pizza. Ughhh. Pizza is my nemesis. I agreed. The whole ride home, I'm thinking, "How am I going to exercise any self-control when I she gets that huge "Family Pleaser" pizza and salad combination?" Well, I didn't have to negotiate that obstacle last night because, from the moment I walked into the door, I met Ms. Attitude! Oh Boy; she was in rare form. I couldn't say anything, without some biting sarcastic comment. I just told her that I wasn't paying to go out for a miserable time: I could do that right here at home for free. So, I got the silent treatment, she went back to bed, and I warmed up some chile from the night before. Ergo, I stayed under my RDI, but I didn't plan it that way. I don't know if the planets were out of alignment or what, but I gave her a wide berth, and stayed out of her way.

Made the doggie some more jerky treats. He's unpredictable. Eats meat when you've about given up on him, and eats the jerky regardless. Vet is going to give me some meds today to try to stimulate his appetite.

Well, got to get to work. Going to see if the yard, of the friend who had back surgery, needs mowing. If it does, that's a 5 hour evolution in itself - figuring the loading up of things on the trailer, the commute time, and the 4 hours of mowing. So, won't know what my plans are today until I check that out.

Got a feeling I'm going to have to make some concessory dinner plans tonight. She's kind of stubborn, so I'll probably have to make the first move. Hope all of my FS friends have a great day! Toodles!

WOW it hurts your feelings even though you know its not personal when they get the attitude..This guy must have a huge yard if it takes you 4 hours to mow it..don't envy you on that one buddy..Make a mends to your DW..even if your not wrong..just makes it easier for the rest of the day...nothing is worth fighting over..Hang in there buddy..you have come a long way..and congrats on taking your time on the run walk....Have a great day...:O)

You are a very sweet man. I am sure you realize that DW didn't mean anything by her actions last night. Probably was just releasing some of the stress she has been under. I sometimes unleash on DH for no apparent reason and I'm not going through anything like her ordeal. Hope you guys have a nice dinner tonight.

Your DW reminds me of myself sometimes.. I'm with Buffy, sometimes I am frustrated for other reasons and end up taking it out on my bf.. it's not good, but it happens. You just have to try to get her to come around and realize that you're in her corner and you love her - you guys have been through so much, at least Ms. Attitude is her "rare form" and not her everyday life.. :)

ok...what does the "D" mean?

Hang in there DK! I think pizza may have been better in that situation. Easier to lose the weight from it, than deal with a mad wifey for a few weeks, lol.

I am sure you understand why this is happening and the turmoil and side affects of the chemo your DW is having.... But it doesn't make it any the less hurtful and frustrating for you. Vent your feelings on FS, we can listen, try and understand and not make judgements. I suspect that DW is getting all the attention and sympathy, but you are having to bear the brunt of the mood swings.... Hopefully, when she starts having the reduced dose, things will improve x

JazzyOwl: :D is internet slang for "happy" :DD means "very happy". Sometimes used with sarcasm - but I would never do that.

First - thanks for accepting my buddy request. Second - look out for those pizza attacks.

Yeah, had a whole day of peace. I think she did get mellowed by the kids. She must have really wanted that pizza though; she was kind to me when she called to tell me she was on her way home, and would I like to go for pizza? I said, "Sure, I'm dying for pizza." I had already entered into FS the pizza I was going to eat tonight. I don't know if FS is lying to me, but since I ate light today, I could eat a half a pizza and still be under my RDI. I don't think I ate that much though. I got the trailer loaded up with the tractor, and I'm going mowing right after church tomorrow. That is, after I check to see who has entered their race results. :) Nitey Nite, Everyone!
