Being that I am - and will likely always be - a highly emotional person, this new change and mindset shift in my journey has come at such a wonderful time for me!!!

I have broken down old mindsets all throughout this journey, and learning to question my 'hunger' - or desire to eat - is helping me to walk away from 'comfort eating'. In the end I would much rather comfort myself by dealing w/ the 'stuff' in my life, than to end up w/ the morning after food regrets!!!

This program by Paul McKenna, has me doing an exercise in my mind of positive vizualization. Of course, I have heard of this before, but never really put this into practice.

Close your eyes, and really focus on seeing yourself across the room. As you come towards yourself, begin to change in your mind's eye what you look like - until you look JUST LIKE what you WANT to look like. A new slimmer you, that is healthy, happy, and exactly the shape and size you are working towards. Get a good clear image of yourself right in front of you, and almost like a sci/fi movie, step 'into' yourself and take ownership of that NEW slimmer, healthier you!!! Feel what it feels like to be this person. Dance around. Smile. Go outside and ride a bike w/ the kids perhaps, or hug your husband when he walks thru the door. Feel his arms circle all the way around your waist.

Keep practicing this visualization technique on a regular basis.

Re train your mind to see you at your end goal!!! It will begin to change the way your mind works!!! Your thoughts will begin to come into alignment with helping you to reach this goal. It has seen what you want, and will work with you to help you to achieve it!

It's a great technique. And it helps you to feel really good inside!

Never forget that you WANT this ... and YOU can do this! What the mind can conceive, the body can achieve!!!

Much Love.

That is powerful, I had done some visualization stuff, but not like that. It was always where I see myself in x amount of time, BUT never putting myself there now! Thank you for sharing this.

Hey Kansas - do it every day! And really envision whatever you want to look like!!! Before you know it, you'll be headed squarely in that direction! And your own brain power will be driving the engine! WhooHoo!
