ShyGuy's Journal, 24 January 2018

I haven't been on track since last July. I had an appointment to see my Doctor, today, and after hopping on the scale, as they normally have you do, I felt like a kid walking into the principal's office. Knowing that I know what needs to be done, she didn't come down on me as hard as I thought she would. It was one of those every six month follow-up type of appointments, so all is well, except for my weight gain. As said, I know what needs to be done, and hope to give her a pleasant surprise when I see her again six months from now. After a few preliminaries, to get the right foods in the house, as can be said; it's on like donkey kong.

this is just a jumping off point - you have the right attitude, you have a plan, you have support (even if it is virtual). Now the action part is all you. I have set small incremental goals that are achievable - and long term goals that will happen in time. I wish you all the best on your journey.

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. Right now, I've avoiding my doctor as I lose the weight I gained during the holiday season last year. As you say, it's on now for both of us. Hang in there! PS LOVE the avatar!

I also have gained 20 pounds back since July. This past Monday I officially got back on track. If we could do this once we can do it again! Stay positive!

My situation is almost exactly like yours. I'm trying to limit the calories to 2000 a day, drink 3 liters of water a day, and eat whole foods when possible. Real meat, grilled and baked fish and seafood, eggs in the morning.

90% of the battle is having food on hand that fits your WOE. If there's icecream in the freezer, I will end up eating it... so I don't. Maybe some Halo Top, but the Bryers can stay at the store! Onwards and downwards!

Low Fat graham crackers with cool whip in the middle - freeze. They are like ice cream sandwiches. You won't need the ice cream when everyone else is having some. You can feel special!
