My four year old helped me make deviled eggs for snack. The only way to get her to eat certain foods is by letting her help make it... I only had one half with a little sriracha ♥️

The deviled eggs 🥚 sound great and so does help from kids in the kitchen! Both my son and daughter learned to cook that way!🤷🏻‍♀️Both of them still ask for family recipes. And I made sure they could cook before they got out of middle school. Of course all my Girl Scouts could as well! LOL They could at leadt use microwaves, toasters, and blenders! 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I’ll let you keep the stiracha sauce. I’ve never been able to put hot sauce on eggs.

@smp, my kids are learning... I was cooking family meals by the age of 9, because my parents got home from work at 7pm after commuting. I only almost burnt the house down once when I forgot to lower the stove on the corned beef and cabbage and went out to play... my parents got home to a flaming pot and almost scorched cabinet... 😱 oops

I too took my turn making family dinners because my parents commuted 2 hours each way for work morning and evening. And my kids thought they had it SO tough! 🤦🏻‍♀️LOL I tell them stories and they just don’t get it. 💁🏻‍♀️They think they had major hardships because they had one set of chores a week and they each had one meal they were in charge of per week and their own laundry. Don’t they wish it was that easy now? LOL 😆

My older sister is the one who melted the cast iron frying pan into the stove element, not me! LOL Though we both learned how to put out stovetop grease fires and oven fires. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Nowadays people eould be appalled, then, it was just life. 💁🏻‍♀️

@vivenne1st, I smash the yolks in mayo, mustard, garlic, paprika, cumin and black pepper.

@SMP yikes, melting cast iron. 😱 Yes my parents car pooled together over an hour away. And my dad owning a plumbing business had to get there early and stay late... so my brother, sister and I were up to no good a lot 🙈🤣 I mean we were innocent compared to some youth. But we had plenty of time to get into trouble/have fun and make dinner before the parents got home 😜

@jackiespahr I bought 3-18packs of eggs this weekend... now I gotta use them up 🤣👍 I’m really hoping to find a sugar substitute that agrees with me... because I do really want a sweet baked treat! 🙈🤷‍♀️

@SMP kids nowadays have no idea... My house was pretty slow on the technology, we didn’t watch tv or play video games... so my childhood compared to my kids... 🤯 TOTAL opposites, my parents were also strict and used physical punishments... so I always remind my kids that they are lucky I chose a different path and to be mindful because they are spoiled and need to appreciate their blessed lives and because no one likes a spoiled brat... 😝
