I fear eating...I hate food...every time it's time to eat I hate it. I feel like I never know when it's too much or what's right or not right any more...so everything feels wrong. I wish I could just stop eating it all together. I feel like it's the enemy. It keeps me like this...my weight went back up...I've been following this damn eating plan 100%. How long have I been dancing around 255????? like two weeks??? I have to go back and look.

I came so close to being out of 250...I'm just so so tired of being this big.

I see the inches coming off but I WANT THAT WEIGHT TO GO DOWN DAMMIT!!!! UUUUUGGGGGHHHH and I feel like it definitely should have!!

This morning my mom said I look like I'm losing...she said she could "see it everywhere" so that made me feel a little bit better but not good enough :(.

Come on...somebody that weighs as much as me eating 1500-1700 and keeping their carbs at 20, going to the gym and walking daily and not losing weekly??? REALLY????

I'm getting more strict - cutting my creamer way down, if not eliminating it completely, and just going to keep calories at 1500 most days.

Not giving up but definitely frustrated. I'm not going to stop weighing FYI - but might cut down to once a week. We'll see.

IF you're doing that many calories and working out like you say but keeping your carbs that low that's one of your major problems, also if your protein grms are off the chart to make up to make up cals you'll have what's known as Gluconeogenesis this reduces the body's ability to burn fat...inhibiting fat loss. So obviously your brain is telling your body to store fat because your starving yourself from the carbs your body needs. lower protein, lower fat and more carbs. Remake your cal's with that new order...work out and you'll lose the weight I've never gained a pound for each weigh in.I started at 248lbs now at 221 and my goal is 200 and I do not starve myself that will cause a yo yo effect in weight loss my losses are solid for 100th time. I hope this info was helpful.

Read the fast metabolism diet book by Haylie Pomroy...it has some really interesting info about dieting and how we are destroying our weight loss ability through certain diet practices—even if you don’t follow the diet, she recommends. (It does work though if you follow it! ) It is definitely easy to fear food and get frustrated. Good luck!!

Some people just have slow metabolisms. This was my problem for years... I'd follow advice and diets but none of them worked for me. The Hard Cold Reality is that I gain weight at 1400 calories per day.... Working out like a dog ... I burn. about 500 calories per hour I work. So to seriously lose weight I have to work out at least 2 hours per day and eat around 800 calories per day. I did that... and I lost weight. Nothing else worked.

Also... I've learned the hard way to never buy into the hype. You can't "speed" up your metabolism by eating X or Y... there are only 2 things that speed up a person's metobilism. #1 dangerous drugs like amphetamines. #2 Adding mitochondria and muscles by working out vigorously 6 days per week. If you work your butt off for an entire year you can usually increase your metabolism by about 30%. Always... always ... always go option #2 because #1 will often kill you.

It takes time, as bad as it seems if you just try, it WILL happen believe in yourself. Everyone has those days looking and scales or food and feeling bad, you just have to overcome the hardships. You can do it!

When I started my weight loss journey last year in May (before I knew about FatSecret) I was 265 lbs. I lost very little in the beginning and as time went on and I stuck with it, I saw the pounds start to melt away. I’m currently at 224. And in the past two weeks since I became a full fledged vegan I’ve lost 13 lbs. As someone who thought it was impossible to never eat milk or dairy again ( I was raised on a hog and cattle farm) becoming vegan has changed my life for the better. And I never want to go back. I no longer need that coffee in the morning anymore. I have so much energy without it. And I feel AMAZING!!! Try a two week vegan diet and see how you feel. If you’re not impressed, switch back. But if you balance your fibers and proteins and grains properly I could bet you won’t look back. But don’t give up!! You got this!

I know how you feel and it is SO frustrating that you want to hit something. However, sometimes we plateau for no reason at all other than having a contrary body. Don't give in, stick with what you are doing and you will get over it - believe me. I sat at 13st for weeks and weeks and I was nearly driven demented but I did get over that hump. I go for the getting into clothes that didn't previously fit option; the scales can sometimes be awkward buggers especially if you are gaining muscle weight, so I have a skirt or a pair of jeans or shirt and try them on periodically and that gives me a realistic view of what is happening to my body. You will get there SV, you just have to be scarier than your scales :)

try to not eat anything for 20 hours a day. this allows your body to actually start to metabolise your fat and allows your good gut bacteria to thrive.

One thing I had to keep telling myself is that when I eat I need to stop when I'm satisfied not full. That does help me. I used to hate when it was time to eat also. You've got this!
