Continuing to explore. What I like, what I don't like, what I am good at, what I have a passion for...what I can derive an income from on a part time basis. It has to fit into all of those!

I've been mulling over the 'Personal Trainer' suggestion for some time. I'm not sure how I truly feel about that. As someone who has only used a trainer a couple of times myself...and primarily because it was FREE - I am much more likely to invest myself in others - and come away from that with great personal satisfaction, but not much in the way of financial satisfaction.

If I am going to do anything out of the home, even part time, it needs to be all of those things above,...and meet some decent level of 'payoff' financially to make it worth my while.

I have thought about 'teaching' in general. Love kids, always have...homeschooled for a year w/ my two older kids (and loved it) - get along great w/ teenagers - and I haven't been doing it my whole life to be 'burned out' at this point.

I have thought about 'healthcare' or 'nursing' ... nope! Got enough of that at home right now! ;)

Real Estate??? Another area I am passionate about... I would love to start a 'hgtv' type business..where you use a limited budget...and transform a space. Now, how to make that 'profitable'.

Still thinking...

Much Love.

Keep on thinking! Of course, some things you can plan for and some things just "happen along". Good luck on whatever you choose!

Am not familiar with the requirements in your state for substitute teachers...but as a former teacher/principal, there is always a need for caring, responsible substitute teachers. Many times the opportunity arises for assignments to last a couple of weeks or months...which would not make the day-to-day calls so unattractive. Your attention to detail and the fact that you are a very responsible indvidual should be appreciated by others. I have friends who became parttime interior decorators, bookkeepers, real estate salespeople, and tutors. Since my retirement, I have explored tutoring (loved it), served as a bookeeper, worked as a sales person for West Marine, and am now working for a large flying service booking jobs. These all are and were parttime or contract labor positions which filled a niche in my passion scope! I, too, am always looking for opportunities and ironically when I don't spend a lot of time obsessing about what I am going to do, an opportunity appears....much like the elusive butterfly. If your intent is to find a parttime position that meets all of your requirements, then it will find you. Success always equals intent. But, of course, I am not telling you anything new as that is exactly what works on Atkins....success equals intent. Wishing you something good to come your way. Hugs.
