JOURNAL: Had to drop out of one of my challenges. “ Get rid of Inflammation and Weight”-as it required "gluten and dairy free" eating. I do not track gluten . As part of my KETO way of eating I eat quite a bit of dairy. I do not know how i overlooked these aspects of the challenge. So… not to offend anyone…just thought I should drop out. ONLY lost 1lb this week. I know intellectually that that is Good…but emotionally I FEEL like screaming and crying out loud….How babyish is that! Sometimes, just when I think I have finally reached a level of personal dignity , I have these moments . Not a pretty sight - a 63 year old women acting like a 5 year old!!!!! :>)

Judyrose1997 - I saw that challenge too and have an issue with inflammation but didn't join because of the restrictions for gluten and dairy as well.

Take heart, dear lady... Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was it brought down in one either.

I still have a PM coming to you. You have met so many goals and your weight "line" is on a steady decline - pretty impressive, Lady. But it all is mute when those emotions crop up. I still think (and there is no science behind this) that when you lose slowly, your body has some time to adjust and the weight loss will be easier to maintain. When you lose weight fast, your body wants to return to what it knows and those old eating habits come right back. You have lost more than I have in a shorter period of time!
