It may seem like I'm not making headway on my diet, but I am losing very very slowly and I have made major adjustments in my food choices. I absolutely love food! But I have way cut down on calories from approximately 3000 to about 1200 daily now. I'm eating much more fish, chicken, and my occasional snack is Skinny Girl popcorn instead of popcorn with a bunch of melted real butter. lol. I need to make this work, I will make this work!!!

I'm the same way. It doesn't seem like I'm losing weight, but I'm losing inches and have made major changes to the diet. I haven't quite dropped down to 1200 calories a day and I guess that's because I eat a few bananas a day. Keep up the good work with life changes (diet).

Slow and sustainable is good, right?

Your comments help me stay on track. Thank you. Haven't went cold turkey on my pepsi intake and sugar in my coffee, but I have cut down. As long as I'm counting calories, I feel that's a start.

Just watch your carbs... if the body thinks its starving, it'll take carbs and store them.

It's ok to slowly make changes. You will probably be more successful that way. Keep up the hard work and just to your best each day!

Slow is the best way trust me...& carful w that low of a caloric intake.....I think if you're listening to someone whom is helping you then stick w the & their advice all way through but that's quite a restriction & when u plateau you won't have much wiggle room to continue to lose !!

Slow and steady is the way to go, and sometimes you need to make adjustments, and then your journey moves on !!!

Mandy0915 hit the nail right on the head. When I read everything you have eliminated and what your calorie 'restriction' you chose is my immediate thought is that's not enough food. Your metabolism is going to drop like a rock. You need to do some reading about calorie restrictions and the effect on your basal metabolic rate. What will you do when you hit a plateau? How much lower can you go and still meet your nutritional requirements. You should be eating 1gm of protein per kg of body wt. per day. That's my input. Do some reading. It's really important and you'll be more successful in your weight loss efforts. The idea is sustainable weight loss through behavior modification. We learn, we change and we adapt. Good luck.
