I'm a newish mom living in Spain. And it is important to note that I don't speak Spanish. At times, I feel a bit isolated. I'm looking for a support system to help me stay accountable and to keep my morale up.

Here's a brief summary of how I got to be here. After taking on a new (& very sedontary job) in 2010, I gained 16lbs over 2 years. In Sept 2013, I gave birth to my my daughter followed by an international move in Jan 2014. At 174 lbs, I'm 23lbs heavier than my ideal weight - the weight I was most confident and proud of my body.

I am good at eating healthly. I am terrible at working-out consistantly. Terrible! Bare min: I need to do 150 mins of cardio/wk - per Dr. orders for general heart health. I know I also need to add in weights & strength training for additional benefits such as bone health and weight loss.

Goals:

COMPLETE:Comfortably fit into size 12
COMPLETE:Break 170
COMPLETE:Weigh 167 by 8/21
COMPLETE:Weigh 165
Break 160
Comfortably fit into size 10
Weigh 155
Comfortably fit into size 8
Ulitmate Goal: 151

Be able to do 20 modified push ups (on knees)
Be able to do 10 regular push ups
Be able to do 50 leg lefts (using lower abs)
Be able to do 20 lunges (per leg)
COMPLETE:Run a mile without walking (at any pace)
Run a 12 min mile
Run a 10 min mile
Run a 5K (without walking)

Meditation
I would like to incorporate some form of meditation into my routine. I have done EFT in the past & liked that, but that isn't really mediation. Does anyone here mediatate? Would you share your expereince with me? What style do you practice? Anything would be helpful!

Many thanks!

Super Foods
I would love to hear about the super foods that everyone eats to fuel their body.

I have been eating the same foods for 8 months now. I'm wondering if I'm possibly passing up power foods in favor of my routine.

For example: I've always liked kiwi, but I only bought it occasionaly because it costs a bit more than other fruits. But I learned that a kiwi has more Vit C than an orange & more potassium than a banana. So, now I have 1/2 a kiwi everyday.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hello all
Make you own salad dressing! Super easy! Lot of recipes online. All you need is olive oil, vinegar, and herbs. You can really switch up the flavor by using different vinegars or adding lemon or lime juice, playing with different herbs, adding heat with hot peppers, or whisking in dijon mustard to make the dressnig creamy.

fed up tonight :-(
I have those days. And after trying to fight myself for long, I decided I needed a new strategy. When you are feeling really down & miserable. Decide you are goign to let yourself feel that way for X amount of time. Sometimes you may give yourself 1 hour - sometimes a whole day - you're your own best judge of what your need. And then really wallow in your sadness/anger/frustration/etc for that given time period. And when the time is up, the time is up. You get back at it! I've literally spent an entire afternoon in sweats in a nest of blankets, binge watching movies, and eating mac&cheese and ice cream. And my weigh-in the next day was crap. But mentally, I had gone through the "ish" and negativity and I was ready to be super committed the next morning.

This tactic definitely isn't for everyone but it has helped me out a time or two
