I feel your "crappy". It sucks. I usually can figure out WHY? But not always. Keep on trying.

I cut out the insulin completely, and just taking metformin and glipizide. Started diet a week or so ago, but it was a wild ride yesterday and today. Been low before so I recognized the signs. And really it's not that low but when mine drop I feel like crap...Dr's want me to be around 70 but it doesn't feel good....oh well another day in the battle, but I think the increased exercise level is affecting it too so that might be a good thing.

I am a primary caretaker for a 40 year old gentlemen with downs syndrome. he also has type 1 diabetes. we have been able to get his insulin injections down to once in the morning. he has breakfast at 8, lunch at 12 and dinner at 6. we keep him low carb so we are not spiking his insulin. at 10, 2, 4 and 8 he has a nonfat yogurt and it keeps his insulin levels good. try low carb and there are bars that you can eat that help maintain insulin levels up to 8 hours without spiking. just an idea for yoy

Low sugar makes me crappy too. I need to figure out how to make blood sugar more stable. I see oatmeal can help and oc ourse don't do the sugar intake spike and fall with exercise. It's hard but keep tracking and figuring out what works and what doesn't.
