I am following LCHF but not losing weight. Anyone else having this problem?

@Bluper Are you avoiding sugar? Eating a lot of salt? And love the cat! I just adopted a 10 yr old Angora/Siamese I love love love!

No sugar for years now. I take potassium and add salt when cooking.

Hmm...You can try to reboot your metabolism. There are a couple challenges a few of us are doing together. 3 day fast and then fast after 5 for 5 days. NOT EASY for me but I guess that's why its a "challenge". Challenges really helped me stay on track and make the journey interesting and less lonely.

Bluper, I am also diabetic, 63 years old. A two-pound weight loss in eight weeks? I'm sorry, but LCHF is NOT working for you. You're eating way too many calories as dairy and high-fat foods like avocado. In the morning, metabolism is at its highest. It's the time of day to take advantage of that fact. See my next post for a better alternative than a carb- and fat-loaded, low-protein cheese Danish.

I also weighed 285 pounds at one time. A moderately-low-fat, low carb, moderate-protein diet worked well for me at that weight, and it's still working at 217 pounds. (My goal is 168 lbs for a BMI of <25.) An egg-and-veggie scramble would work well for ANY meal. This breakfast will fill you up, and the protein will keep you satisfied much longer than a Danish.

Scramble eggs in a bowl and set aside. Saute 1/2c each of thin-sliced sweet peppers (any color) and onion to soften. Add 1/c of mushrooms if you like them. Turn up the heat and scramble in the eggs, then dish up on a plate. (I don't eat any dairy on my diet -- too much fat -- but it does add flavor. If you must, top your scramble with 2T MAX of shredded cheese. Salt/pepper to taste.

Yay!

Putting the cheese on top of your scramble, instead of mixing it in, will hit your tongue first and boost the flavor.

Eat the kitten

I must add, my cheese danish is homemade by using fat head dough. It is only 3 carbs. The food list does not have homemade items. I make carbalose bread also. It is not on the list.

If I eat the kitten I will get a gigantic hairball!
