Welp. Nothing throws a monkey wrench in the works like a hurricane on the horizon. The tech that was going to fix my main computer can't get here because the lines at the gas stations are wrapped around the block. The governor of SC ordered mandatory evacuations for the county I work in starting at 3 PM tomorrow, even though the storm isn't expected here until Thursday afternoon. My county is inland, and uphill from the coast, so aside from a lot of rain, and some high winds, I should be alright. The old computer shut itself off yesterday afternoon for no apparent reason, and would not boot back up. I figured it was dead. It still wouldn't boot this morning, so I was really counting on the tech getting here. But, when I got home from work, I crossed my fingers and turned it on, and up it came! So, it's a mixed bag....the "good" computer is probably not going to get worked on until next week, but for now, tentatively, I can use the old one. We'll see if the power grid gets affected by the storm. And if it craps out again, I have an old netbook that will work in a pinch. I'll check in as I can. In the meantime, stay the course, buddies, and for those affected by this storm, know I have you in my prayers. ~Kes
