Saturday was the dinner and I did pretty good up until we got there. I guess I really did not do terrible. I did have some wine, and I did have a small slice of cheesecake but I did NOT eat the crust (no way to reflect that in the food diary). I did have a small sliver of lasagna, but it was sort of one of those dinners where the is so much of each item for everything. We did dance and that burned some calories. Then we had to clean up afterward.

Yesterday I gave blood and so really did not watch the carbs. I was not feeling that great and had chicken pot pie for dinner and popcorn for a snack. So not a good day yesterday, but I am back on it today. Was feeling weak most of the day so pretty much did not do anything aside from the quick shopping we did.

I have never wanted my period to start so badly. I am always constipated before I start and this time is no exception. It is moving...a little at a time....so that is good, but it is NOT ALL moving. Making me miserable and reflecting on the scales.

My step-daughter is flying in for the week next Saturday and that Sunday we are leaving to go out of town. It is a bit of a bummer because my daughter cannot get off of work...well she might could have but she said that she did not want to lose any hours, and I respect that. So we are leaving Sunday and then will return Wednesday. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday...there will be dressing and gravy and pies and green bean casserole. Then the movies Thursday night. Friday we will probably do some shopping and then we have a TSO concert Friday late afternoon!! Then to the airport early Saturday morning.

So busy times coming up.

Very busy! Like I told another buddy. We can't beat ourselves up over every dinner, birthday, or office party. Life happens and we just have to make good choices with what we have. Granted, your doing the Adkins diet so some choices are suppose to be off limits. But I mean as a whole, it's okay to have a small piece of this or that, but we all start getting in our heads and beating ourselves up over everything. Makes it hard. I notice this trend in most of my buddies (myself included). It's such a mind game. Hope this all came across okay, typing misses the emotions :) I wish I could flip that switch and stop the negative thinking in my head every time I eat something. Make sure you're getting lots of water in, that helps "move" things along :P

It does make sense Christy and thanks for the kind words because I am beating myself up. Definitely pounding the water down here! I will put a big welcome sign out for Aunt Flo this month!!! I hope you have a great day :)

Wow! You are certainly a busy lady and seem to have all kinds of challenges in front of you in the next couple of weeks. I think it is good to start thinking about the challenges of Thanksgiving eating. A co-worker and I were discussing that today and decided that by knowing the pitfalls, we could act proactively rather than just go into the holiday blindly and let our olfactory sensor take control. I agree with ChristyF, you can't beat yourself up for every little indiscretion...but we also must remember that we are on Atkins and there are limits and boundaries to meet if we want to continue to lose weight and establish a better WOE. None of this is easy...I know as I have been maintaining a set weight now for a month...while I feel that I am preaching to the choir...this preacher needs to take her own advice. Have a great day and I hope that things start "moving" in the right direction:)

Thanks Gwen. Thanksgiving could be a challenge...on the upside...I am not a big pie eater and am baking two pies so not too difficult for me to avoid. If I make macaroni and cheese I will not touch it. Greenbean casserole is not a big pitfall for me so should be okay. Just try to fill up on turkey and get out my lemon-pepper seasoning!!!!! Dressing is what I do love, but I like the best before I cook it....hahahaha....so that won't be too tough either. I am trying to keep a positive outlook on Thanksgiving (as you can see) :)
