Brrrrrrr.... It is getting colder and colder real fast. Oddly, this weather is making me hungrier than usual. Boiled eggs works wonders for controling hunger pains! :)

I finally got my endometrial biopsy results back. Negative for cancer! Yes!!! I am so relieved. Now I can focus what is really important, and that is to loose the rest of this fat so I won't have to worry about that kind of stuff in the future. From May 2010 I have lost 1/2 the weight I need to loose. On another note, my endocrinologist wants me to EXERCISE MORE (I know that!) AND give WW another try for at least a month. She knows that I have been doing low carb and my weight loss has been slow going. I quit taking my cholesterol meds awhile back and she does not approve, but I do not like their side effects and all my blood work has come back great. So....I'm still thinking about changing... It would be easier to say NO if I would loose an average 1 1/2 - 2 lbs per week on low carb though. For now, I'm going to kick up my exercise by using my Wii Fit, walking longer, and ride my mountain bike (after I replace the seat this weekend).

Well, I hope everyone's week is treating them good! :)

Hey Cheryl, that's wonderful (RELIEVING) news!!!! So glad you can breathe easy again!! As for the dr., diet choice, etc... I think we get a bit of a safety net to stay within the boarders of one particular 'plan'. But what if you ventured into a combination of the two? Is it possible to eat moderately low carb (avoiding the worst offenders), lean meats and fish, healthy whole veggies, low sugar fruits, healthy fats, and keeping an eye on calories ??? would this fit into your choices on WW? (don't know anything about WW - but I believe it is simple calorie counting w/ a lean towards low fat?) - Either way, consistent daily walking/exercise of somekind.. will surely make a bit of difference on either plan. It doesn't have to be 'kill ya' kind of exercise... just enough to feel like you are 'engaged' in the exercise. 20-30 min's ea day. And lots of water. Should really be a help to you. Keep posting!!! And OH SO HAPPY FOR YOU about your results!!!

Hi Paula, Thx for stopping by! I am happy for me too! I do know that being fat can entice endometrial cancer once you hit 50's and have certain symptoms, such as polyps (this is what I have learned as of late; read the same info on several websites). Gotta get rid of this fat! Yes, you are absolutely right about having a diet plan safety net. I am comfortable w/Atkins, but not loosing like I should be and I'm sure it is because I have lost 1/2 my weight, sometimes not getting enough calories, and not getting enough daily exercise. I have set a side time each day now to get what I need to get this weight loss moving again. As for WW, I now have 2 drs wanting me to give it a try again. I'm considering it. We will see.

Cheryl, You know how wonderfully pleased I am for you with those super to hear results. I think upping your exercise will probably be the answer my cousin can only lose weight if she is exercising as well and she has done both Atkins and WW but just won't lose unless she exercises.....so whichever way you choose will work with more exercise. Whatever it takes just get healthy :)

Yvonne, just saw your post to my journal. I am still be laxidazical about exercising more. I always seem to find an excuse not to (like-it's to cold, or it's raining, etc...). I am going to continue to push myself to exercise more (use my Wii and my biggest looser dvd, along with bicycling when weather permits) Thanks!
