Adelle's books were the first health books I read, and I even have a paperback of her first book that is among the best resources on the role of vitamins that I have ever found.

@trackin, YES! Just from reading that book, Adelle Davis nailed cause of and cures for problems I'd had in my early 20's that Doctors had NO CLUE about.

Another excellent book that really cleared up a lot was "Are You Confused?" by Dr. Paavo Airola, published 1971. :) Still a very good informative & balanced, realistic view of nutrition and all the "confusing' fads, hyped promotions, hyped "latest silver bullet BS". :)

The ones with the most to say have always been the first ones to be oppressed. This is why I try to stay away from the medical industry as much as possible. The best one to treat you for what ails you is you. DO THE RESEARCH!!! And heal yourself. Almost all modern disease in the 20th century that isn't viral or bacterial in nature are ALL Diet or eating frequency related. And this includes the degenerative diseases. And even some of the Viral and bacterial disease can be cured with simple nutrition and fasting protocols.
