REALLY having trouble getting back to sleep middle of the night after getting up to pee, or from even very mild headaches (from the cervical spine damage, c4 to c7). 2 nights ago it took 2 HOURs to find sleep. most often, like last night, it's an hour, even after taking over the counter sleep aids, or valerian tincture.
Oddly the best times I've had sleeping is rare, but twice now for 9 to 15 nights in a row (2 separate periods) I've slept full 7 to 9 hours WITHOUT WAKING UP ONCE, and those times I took NOTHING but valerian root tincture at bedtime.
But then it goes back to waking up in 3 to 5 hours and if I don't take SOMETHING I can't sleep.
When I have (rarely, happens much less often now) a bad headache in the night I sometimes take a mixture of; Turmeric, tart cherry juice concentrate, ginger juice, lemon juice, magnesium citrate, black pepper, and 2.7oz Gin (alcohol) tastes nasty but kills the pain and I can get to sleep in an hour. If I don't take this when bad pain at night, I'm in progressively worsening pain the whole next day.
Any thoughts?
