Diets …Gooooood morning…I was thinking in bed this morning before I finally got up and although we all start out doing a diet…eventually it turns into a lifestyle change in our life…not everyone uses the same eating style but its all about what works best for you…for me..im an older single male in my 60s, that doesn’t have to work anymore except running errands thru the week, keeping the grass cut and just everyday things around the home…so I don’t really need to eat a lot to be full…back in 2007 I joined fs i weighed in at 375 and lost 100 pounds my first year..and I was a more active person then…I kept that weight off up until the last few months of 2015…several stressful things happened and eating right fell back to eating whatever I wanted..it didnt change completely..i was still eating like I do now, just was eating more sweets in excess and just having more sweets around the home…thus gaining back about 50 or so pounds..the lifestyle I had created was still there..even though I was letting old habits join back in..i kept thinkin I need to refocus and get back on fs..but days, then months went by..and finally I rejoined fs..im happy I did..not a day goes by that im not thankful that I can journal my food, exercise once I get down to 300…that’s my first goal I have set for myself…I have reinforced spokes on my road bike..they are solderied where they cross, but im not sure of the weight capicity…before I had special rims an spokes I was popping spokes last year when I was riding…but as I said..its no longer a diet..its a lifestyle change that works for me…I did go to walmart yesterday and decided to buy a set of digital scales to weigh my food..figured it was time to make sure I was on target with my serving sizes…actually I was close on a lot of them….but I just wanted to make sure..well…its time to start another day…need to cut grass again..got a couple of errands too do before I get on rider sooooooooooo….everyone have a great day…your in it for the long haul..it does get easier the longer you stick with it….

You did it once and you'll do it again. We have to start right NOW, not tomorrow, or next week, or next month! Hang in there, as a lover of sweets, I feel temptation every day. I do allow myself one free day and that helps.

Thank you for sharing. It can be so hard to get started, but once you get the ball rolling it gets easier. I see it as a process or journey. The destination is important, but it's the journey that we learn and develop the lifestyle. When we fall in love with the lifestyle/journey, we arrive to the destination with ease. Keep it up!

Nice post WBH...I am also very thankful that I found this community, tools and knowledge base. That we can share the good and bad of each of our journeys makes our own journey feel so much more doable. Good luck on your near term and long term goals, hope your week goes well, take care!!
