Goood morning FS!

It seems I overshot my goal. I've lost a lb yesterday and 2 today bringing me down to 111 lbs. Apparently yesterday's high calorie meals with lots of fat kicked my body into gear. i also had quite a few carbs. I ate my dinner very late because we were running around all afternoon so I didn't get dinner until about 8pm.

Also it seems that drinking decaf has seriously helped my blood sugar because I would've expected to be really high this morning but I was still within range at 114 (@8:30 am) which is actually fantastic when considering all the carbs I ate and that I took my reading rather late. If I'd tested before 7am I would've been closer to 105. Yup, I'm impressed!

Funny how some things affect us and not others. Point in fact, stress often raises blood sugar and yet there's no carbs in stress just the fight or flight hormones. And it's these same hormones that can trigger a problem in us when we consume certain food/beverages.
This is why one size doesn't fit all. We still have so much to learn about the human body.

As for my body, my blood sugar just don't respond well to too much caffeine so think I'll stick to my decaf (smiles)

Happy week everyone!

♥ Ruby

Actually pmaz1603, I was 1st dxd as prediabetic and my FBS numbers were about 110-115 so I was put on metformin and while I was trying to find the right way to deal with this I became diabetic with FBS over 126. Generally now my FBS runs anywhere from 90-110. With being challenged with fibromyalgia I just don't have the muscle mass for better numbers at this time. Because muscle is another thing that can really helps our numbers. Though I am considering getting into some light resistance work here soon as I've found something on the net that may work for me. Thanks Bren. You know after spending so much time and energy staying focused on this one goal, it feels almost surreal in reaching it. And the blood sugar thing is such a big deal to me. I guess it hasn't sunk in yet lol. Love ya right back! ♥
