Day 3 Whole30!

Hey guys, feeling good so far. Yesterday I worked out with my trainer for an hour.
Today I started with a good big breakfast of 2 slices bacon, 4 eggs, 3 strawberries and grilled string beans and baby potatoes. I like starting my day off with big breakfasts so I can hold off from snacking until I eat lunch!

Yesterday my co worker noticed I was eating an apple rather than the birthday cake that was given to another co worker. I told her about the whole 30. She asked me to send her the rules of it, so I did.. I was also glancing though them myself and found this:

"It is not hard. Don’t you dare tell us this is hard. Beating cancer is hard. Birthing a baby is hard. Losing a parent is hard. Drinking your coffee black. Is. Not. Hard. You’ve done harder things than this, and you have no excuse not to complete the program as written. It’s only thirty days, and it’s for the most important health cause on earth – the only physical body you will ever have in this lifetime."

It's true. This program is ONLY 30 days. Comparing it to your whole life, anyone should be able to stick to it. Reading it keeps me motivated and hopeful I can succeed at this!

Yes Glen! You got that right! We need to realize that making these changes are truly not hard. Because there are much harder things in life. We can all do this!

A Whole30 is part of my strategy to shake things up when low carb alone isn't doing enough. It seems that giving up dairy in particular can help whittle the waistline.

@trackin64 I once gave up dairy for a 20 day cleanse a few years back. I lost all my weight and was 125lbs! Not to mention my skin was so clear.

Dairy is hit or miss for a lot of people, amino's in milk protein cause an insulin spike...the question is whether you are highly sensitive (large spike), or not sensitive at all.

So true! There is dealing with things that are really "hard" as your quote stated and then there is choosing to Eat and drink with our needs not wants.
