Starting over. Day three. Sigh. Trying not to think of where I would be if I hadn't quit. I have discovered that it is just not worth it to eat crap. I feel horrible, gain weight, have no energy, and emotions go crazy. Today - Jan 6 - Day three - feel better physically but emotionally I want to stuff my face.
192.5 lb Lost so far: 6.5 lb.    Still to go: 47.5 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 0.7 lb a week

The first few days are often the hardest as you get used to eating differently and less. Hang in there, it's worth it and you'll feel better all around.

Don't look back, look forward. Trust me I just looked at September and thought 'man, if I stayed on track I'd be..." Instead I was up 8 as of last week. Back on track, and you will be fine in no time. And p.s. I am with you on that wanting to stuff my face. I live in Louisiana, and people start eating King Cakes now...geez...food is everything here.

We've all done it, really we have, so please don't beat yourself up. And don't look back. Choose the method you want to use for losing weight, and give it your best effort, making sure that everything you eat really tastes good and you enjoy it. I can tell you that the cleaner you eat, the better everything tastes--if anyone had told me I would genuinely enjoy zucchini sticks, which I had expected to be completely tasteLESS, I would never have believed them. Figure out when you're most vulnerable to emotional eating and then figure out some things to do during that time (I took up knitting again. Can't eat and knit at the same time!) And most of all remember that we ARE in this together and you can do it, and we'll help as much as you want us to. You got this. And we are here.

Thanks everyone! I haven't been on in so long and was pleasantly surprised to find such encouragement! Today was a much better day. Not much hunger, and I felt calmer. I have a question- how do I know when I am in ketosis?
