Wow. i know it's only water weight, but still impressive.

The Atkings eating plan has not been difficult at all. Of course, I have not considered myself to have a prob with carbs anyway. I don't have a sweet tooth, and i don't really care if I have bread. I anticipate the most difficult thing will be avoiding breaded foods. And i do love spaghetti, although it's really the sauce I'm after, so I will be trying some vegetable alternatives.

Except for a small bout of 'Atkins Flu' and raging allergies, I feel fine. :-)

Hello Karen, I am sooo impressed, almost 12 pounds in a week!!! Can I see what you ate for that week? Thanks, and good job

Oh, I'm not sure where 12lbs in a week came from - maybe the program calculated that from me losing 5lbs this weekend. I guess if I continued at that rate it would be 12lbs in a week. WOW. But its water weight, so I know I can't continue at that rate. Anyway, feel free to look all you want - I think I've got it public. I'm just watching my net carbs AND calories. Ttul Karen

Hi Karen! I'm so glad you're feeling and sounding much better. The quick weight loss is likely to be mostly water, but seeing the scales go down is motivating. I'm also glad that you realize you will not continue to lose weight at this rate. I hate to see people disappointed. You seem to have a very realistic approach to this. Congratulations on your great start and continued success!
