mars2kids's Journal, 21 September 2015

I haven't weighed in for about 2 weeks and I'm up a pound. Not surprising since my exercise has been lacking and I ate like crazy over the weekend. I didn't sit on my butt the whole weekend, but I didn't get any exercise in either.

Saturday my daughter and I went to the craft fair and it was packed! It was awesome to see so much support for the local vendors, but geez, we couldn't get through some of the buildings. The plus was that we had to walk probably a quarter mile from and to the car, so we got some steps in. Then when we got home my BIL, SIL, and niece were at our house and they stayed the night. It's always fun to see the little ones, but now I think my hubby has baby fever. He's been saying things about how he misses having a baby. I think us talking about birth control and some more permanent options recently has gotten him thinking and maybe regretting not having a 3rd child earlier on. I thought I was supposed to be the one with baby fever, not him. :)

Sunday I made 8 half pints of strawberry jelly. We tried some last night and it was pretty yummy. It's different than store bought jelly and has less sugar, so my kids aren't completely sold on it. After making that, now I'm going to have to try some more kinds of jelly and maybe fruit syrup. It took less time than I thought it would to get it all done.

Well, now it's on to a new week. I have my eating plan lined up and I've started a challenge on Facebook with a Beachbody coach. It's a 5 day kick start challenge for healthy eating and getting at least 30 mins of exercise in each day. I think it's a great time for this challenge since I'm in a place right now where I need to be accountable and plan. My family isn't going to like all of the healthy dinners, but they'll live and it will be good for them too. :)

Now I'm off to work and I'm going to try to be productive and stick to the eating plan all day. Have a great Monday!!

Snezica- Don't even say that! :) We always say we'll be the couple who had a baby young, then have a surprise right before we turn 50.

My friends mom got him very young, then when she was like 45 went to the hospital with horrible stomach pains. The doctor told her that she is in labor, she didn't even know she was pregnant, she is obese, couldn't see the baby bump from all the fat. I was never pregnant and it is weird to me that someone wouldn't know but the show "I didn't know I was pregnant" was interesting. Everything is possible = twins, triplets :D and you still have 20 more fertile years ;-)
