crabby Kat's Journal, 22 August 2015

Good morning, everyone! I had a lovely day yesterday, and made a concerted effort to eat lots of healthy food, and maybe put some weight back on my bony body.

I didn't record my dinner or my soccer game kettle corn indulgence. Dinner out, and I had a black bean and barley veggie burger with grilled onions, baby spinach, and tomato, smothered in melted Swiss cheese. We split appetizers; traditional and black bean hummuses and pita, as well as kalamata olives and warm roasted spiced local hazelnuts.

At the game we split a medium kettle corn, hot & fresh. I ate most of it. Enjoying every bite! I never thought I would see the day when I felt that I needed to gain weight!

On a different note, I have a big lump along the gluteal muscle on the left side of my bottom. Swollen and tender....I think I might have ischeal gluteal bursitis, or strained a muscle. I put ice on it, and I'll tone down my dancing, not push too hard in Pilates. I see my physical therapist on Tuesday, and will have her check it out.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Bummer...bwhahaaha! That was a pun! Sore muscles are usually part of my day, too. I use a soft foam roller to press it and try for myofacial release. Have you ever been to a person who does Rolfing? They are great at releasing muscular pain. Good Luck!
