Good morning my buddies! Still here, still dazed and confused meandering through the week lol. Activity is on my priority list today. I know I could do some exercises here at home but I have just been slacking. With my mom on vacation I have been trying to spend extra time with her. Tomorrow I will be going on a long trip with her to take my sister to see a specialist. It's just one of those weeks.

She made this cheesy/mashed potato/ ground beef casserole for lunch yesterday. It was loaded with cheese, and bacon, and grease. I had a small portion and guesstimated the best I could on my FS log. That's just the way it goes sometimes. But when I got home from school and my husband had pizza I was like Oh hell nawwwww. I had a ham sandwich instead. One mystery grease bomb is enough for one day. Good job, Yolanda.

This girl in my class keeps boasting about the forty pounds she's lost in the last six weeks. She posts before and after pictures that are... inaccurate to say the least. I mean come on, I see you every day wrapped tightly in body shaper compression clothing under your normal clothes. You cant fool me. She dislikes me to put it nicely, for reasons that date back to junior high lol, I honestly don't know the specifics. But I find myself reciprocating that negativity and I know it needs to stop. I might not have the highest opinion of her, but I really have no reason to hate her (other than the fact that she is rude to me) and I need to knock it off. Wasted energy is what it is. Today my goal is to not waste energy disliking people who are of little to no relevance in my own life.

I'm still feeling so overwhelmed in terms of my to do list this week. The kiddos need shoes and book bags yet, maybe I should just get that done today after our walk. Start checking those to do's off of my list. Tomorrow the appointment with my sister then assignment at the hospital, Friday juggling orientations and clinical prep. I've made plans to go to the fair with my mom after clinical Saturday.

I find that having plans after clinical helps me to leave work at work. I have a tendency to spend the rest of the day evaluating everything I did, could do better etc. It's not healthy to obsesses like that. It also is helping me to learn that the eight hours at the hospital isn't my entire day, that I have a life outside of that workday. It's helping me to manage my anxiety. Pretty proud of how far I've come in that regard. Oh, and I got a 96.5% for my last clinical weekend, an A, and 2 percent better than my first weekend grade. Very pleased. You have to work hard with this instructor, glad she is seeing improvement in me.

Resisting that pizza is a sign of amazing will power. You're so good! Kill that girl with kindness, it always makes those people who have some vendetta against you even more mad, let her use that energy, you have enough other stuff going on. Keep checking those things off your to-do list, you'll get it done. Great job on your clinical!

It dawned on me while I was away the last 10 days that the hardest thing we have to do, both to lose weight and to keep it off, is to learn to be around all the bad food that we used to love eating, and be able to say NO to it. I think you have cracked it, girl! Go you!
