Do you find that the more you exercise the harder it is to lose actual lbs? Just curious. When I stick to my eating plan but don't really exercise I drop weight fast but when I exercise a lot, like 120 mins of cardio a day, I find the weight doesn't come off as fast or as easily. Maybe Im not eating enough? No surprise there...I have always had that issue. I can't get my head around the amount of cals 'it says' I need to eat. Personal issues. Oh, I have officially been diagnosed with an eating disorder. No surprise there. I've known that for many, MANY years. BUT...I'm getting help for it. Anyway, just curious if anyone else had this issue???

yes it's normal, you are pumping blood to your muscles. you have to have the appropriate food intake for sports though, you don't want to turn all your fat into muscle. my suggestion would be to go on a diet to loose fat fast and low cal for moderate sport, where you exercise like 10 to 20 minutes a day or every other day, and when you are closer to your goal weight start sporting more with a good stabilizing diet. I don't know if that was clear enough ? but nice going for your lost weight.

This is a common issue due to sore muscles retaining water. Some people will be putting on lean mass when exercising so that adds a little weight that counters the weight loss so for example if you put on 0.2kg lean mass and you lost 1kg of weight then your weight loss on the scale will show as 0.8kg which makes you think you only lost 0.8kg when you actually lost 1kg. Keep at it :)

Happened to me too! It could also be that you are raising cortisol levels (stress hormone) best advice I got was to make time to chill out - don't try so hard. Walk a lot - especially outside - I tried yoga too - great burn but also calms you down and centres you! Belly fat is a sign that your cortisol levels are too high which will make it harder to lose weight!

No I don't think you need to exert more to loose pounds. I lost many pounds just using low exertion Elliptical machine exercise and dieting right. Try to burn 600 calories a day on the elliptical machine and don't eat more than 1200 calories a day. This is what I do, you will be loosing lots of weight in no time. If you set the machine to calories loss at the gym and enter your weight and age and 600 calories to loose you should be fine.

yup, and I think that is what has been frustrating me the most with getting back in gear, as I work out, the scale wasn't moving, but once i stuck to it it started to go down.

Exercise causes the muscles to hold water as they recuperate from the workout. I always weigh more on days I exercise. Maybe the same for you?

You're looking amazing, Dawn, and obviously doing the right things. I did experience the same when I was lifting back in the day, so I definitely know that's normal. Get yourself one of those scales (I have an Ironman Tanita) that shows your muscle and bodyfat percentages. At some point, I think, that's more important than your weight.
