I got up early and got distracted by things that needed to be done around the house, so I got a late start for the gym. I have sort of been slacking off on cardio this week, so I began with an hour on the elliptical. That was fairly exhausting on its own, but then I got into my upper body weight workout. I realized about halfway through that, since I had done all those chores at home first, it had been a long time since I had had my morning shake. I suppose I should be glad that I am in tune with my body that I can feel that, but I was also determined to finish up the weight portion. I was so very hungry when I got home, but felt great after a nice lunch.

I had made a middle eastern dinner last night--falafel, kofte meatballs, hummus, and other sauces. The leftovers made a wonderful lunch. I have managed to avoid the leftover brownies today. The baking demons overtook me yesterday and I baked a pan of brownies to bring to a friend's house to share among all the kids. Of course, I had to try one because I was using a new recipe. And, they were really good so I had another after dinner at home later. I am secretly hoping my kids finish eating the last few soon so I can stop thinking about them. :)

We are heading to game night tonight so I have to go think up a healthy side dish to bring along with.

I agree yummy sounding meal! Amazing that you could do strength after that much time on the elliptical!!!. That thing does me in pretty fast.
