Once a week. My weight shifts by about 5 pounds depending on where I am in my cycle (water weight); I'd go crazy if I compared it every day. I weigh myself after the gym, naked, before breakfast, so, no, it doesn't affect what I eat that day.

I try to weigh in only once a week so when I go off my plan for one day or two I know that I have some makeup time:)

NOT weighing every single day is a license to cheat. By weighing every morning, you know exactly what kind of impact that cheat from the night/day before has. Like 3 to 5 lbs. from a single bad meal. Doing it once a week allows too much UN-accountability. When I read the scale after a cheat day, it snaps me right back into mindful, conscious eating. Cheat when you must, but know the weight impact. (PS: I'm far from a saint; I cheat twice a week.)

im coming from more of a mental standpoint where as because out weight fluctuate so much through the week or over a couple of days, for example I could drink a glass of water and my weigh goes up 2 pounds no kidding, like fore real. Im saying wouldnt it be better for my sanity that i just wait until everything in my body is stable to get a more correct weight at the end of the week rather than daily. I do understand your accountability point though

I weigh most days but not all, and one reason I count calories primarily because it helps me ensure that whatever the scale is doing, that it's not "fat" gain. Knowing exactly what I ate gives me the confidence that what I see on the scale is not fat. I weigh most days, but not all; I can usually tell if I've had a bloaty kind of morning and know when to wait it out. I used to weigh every day and found it useful for learning how sodium/hormonal fluctuations/glycogen restorage/lack of sleep/weight of food and even stress (cortisol/bloat/water) could impact weight each day, and even during the course of a day. The human body can fluctuate by several pounds from day-to-day doing nothing but maintaining itself - and knowing what you ate means you can at least trust that it has zero to do with fat being gained. If you do decide to weigh every day, it's important to bear those body processes in mind, and look for the LONG term trend of your weight, rather than day-to-day blips - the latter can set you into a reactive tailspin when you don't see the results. It's also why I personally don't dig the idea of cheat days - but rather, calorie cycle so that if I want something less-than-optimal one day, I just cut back and moderate on the next, so that my average over a month is still a deficit!

I weigh every day sometimes multiple times, record it officially here once a week on Saturdays. Used to record it on Fridays but that's date night so doing it on Saturday makes me thing twice about what I order if we go out to eat the night before. At this point whether I weigh or not I still have a pretty good idea of how I'm doing based on what I eat. Knowing I have to be accountable by Saturday morning does affect my food choices. Some people will say weigh every day, some people will say weigh once a week, some maybe once a month. My advice would be do what works for you, if doing it every day is a discouragement when you don't see what you want to see, don't do it. On the other hand if it helps you to weigh more frequently than do it.

We're in the process of selling our house and we moved into our RV and packed up a bunch of stuff to make it easier to show it. I didn't bring my scale, which normally I used every day, because of space limitations. However, I can tell have I probably gained about 5 pounds! It's just too easy for me to not have accountability for myself without it, so I went and dug it out of storage...Haven't checked the damage yet, but my pants don't lie! LOL

Personally I weigh every morning, and record my weight every Friday. why do I do this because your weight can vary a lot during the day, throughout the week so it is really just a constitant for me. If you do weight daily just remember your weight can fluctuate 1-3 lbs at any given time.

I used to weigh daily but it made me crazy and I found my mood was "caused" by my weight on a daily basis. Now it's once a week

I step on the scale once a month, it's not worth it to beat yourself up for every ounce. I pay attention what i eat and my exercise. I run/walk every single day for 30-40 minutes.

Once a week, same day, same time. I don't see the point of monitoring water/intestinal contents fluctuations. Real weight loss just takes time. If I don't see any loss for the week, then I carefully look at my meals and exercise to see where I went off the path. I do low carb and unless I go out of ketosis I lose 2 lbs a week or sometimes a bit more.

I weigh in everyday , I already know about the fluctuations so it doesn't really bother me cause they are not that drastic . It just helps me keep an eye on what Im doing right and wrong in terms of what I ate ( ie.. let me cut out the cheese for a few days ) and if I should give it that extra push on the treadmill. For me , its helpful and Im starting to see the pattern of when I eat certain things and how it impacts the weight loss. I weigh myself with the same clothes at the same time everyday. I stay away from the scale at a certain time of the month.

I weigh in when I remember. ..usually every other day but only record once a week. I understand the flexibility so I don't beat myself up...slow and steady that's my motto.
