it's not a myth Rolling Eyes you need to feed your body in order to work for you in a right way, because body with no fuel won't take you to far for to long. Proper nutrition is the key.

make sure those 1200 ( i would go for 1500) + burned calories are calculated correctly, otherwise your body will go into starvation mode.

Training for 1/2 marathon

Luvtorunn which 1/2 you are planning to run, may be one in DC?
as of training and losing weight at this moment i would pay more attention to the training plan.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I agree with you on this Da-Pumper. We have to stop the insanity of weighing ourselves. I step on the scale once a month. The main thing I focus is on my eating & exercise.
