DAY 5 - aTKINS induction completed.

I've noticed that I haven't had a BM in 5 days! Funny, I don't feel full, swollen, or symptomatic of this fact whatsoever. However, I don't want to end up in the hospital for a disempactment ! lol So I'm going to monitor and see to it today.

Yesterday went well again with the food. Had (3) large meals well spaced and with no crazy cravings whatsoever in between.

Which makes me believe that these cravings are the result of the body chemistry affecting the mind. Namely, the level of glucose in the bloodstream. Or simply, that my way of eating was too low in fat and protein.

Haven't been drinking much water, which is a must. Hope that doesn't jeopordize the results.

Have been walking. Set up myself to walk once during the day, in the sun, for the Vitamin D, and once in the evening, because I like the summer nights and I'm always inside. At least I get to enjoy it a bit.

Going on day 6 with a breakfast of eggs, cream and bacon. Crazy, isn't it?

Monday morning will be weigh in.

I am not surprised you didn't have a BM for days since you can't eat a lot of veggies and fruits also you don't drink enough water. At least you can drink water and to help things along do some jumping jacks, exercise will help. Don't weigh yourself before you get to do the number two, no point, you'd just get disappointed. Have a nice weekend.

Water is essential,especially to get regular. Everything else seems like it's going along nicely. Good luck on the weigh in.

Snezica, why do you say you cant eat a lot of veggies? Atkins says you can eat veggies on Induction. Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment. NowIunderstand, I have a jug of water and a glass and I put it in front of myself and drink more that way than if I have to go and get it, because its there in front of me, as a reminder. I have noted how much the jug holds so I can track it. I am SO bad at remembering to drink otherwise :D

Wow, I don't have the book, so I'm pretty much going by memory. I'll copy,paste and print your mgse. I do think I've pretty much stuck to those guidelines. I have been adding Tofu, hoping to relieve the hot flashes that keep me awake.
