wholefoodnut's Journal, 26 June 2015

It's Friday and another week has zoomed by. I plan to head for the gym after work, then it's catch up for me at home as I didn't get much done last night. I did get some beans cooked in the pressure cooker. I had resorted to canned which had no taste compared to homemade.

Tired this am as the weather radio went off several times beginning # 1:15. Quite a storm rolled through with 80 mile winds, hail in some areas, lots of lightening and torrential rains. I think tomorrow is a sleep a little late day.

Best get moving I know of at least one detour due to flooding on the way to work.

We had pop up thunderstorms the other day. It's hot and humid here, heat index into the 100's. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Wow - you folks are really getting the storms lately! Did your lawnmower start? It is brand new, right?

Mmmm, you beans sound yummy. Try not to get washed away with all those storms.

HCB the electric start isn't working but I can start it with the pull start. That lawnmower is about a month old, that's new lawnmower #3 this summer with problems! It is going back and being replaced probably this weekend. I have to find time this weekend to clean up all the branches now in my yard from the storm last night. I'm lucky, lots of people with damage, no power, or whole trees uprooted all over the metro. 80 mph gusty winds are not nice.

Izzy, the storms are moving off for a day per the weather people off to pester other parts of the country. Apparently Kentucky was also hit pretty hard last night as all the overnight mail going through the usps hub there was delayed. We have been lucky with no tornados and mostly just rain and not the really high winds, 30-50mph isn't a big deal but 80mph creates problems. I'm thankful the power company trimmed the trees in the park behind my house that could impede the power and possibly damage my home or my neighbors. Many of my friends are still without power and it may be a couple days. Heading for bed fairly early and glad I don't have to be up at dawn.

LOL I'm lawnmower jinxed. At least I can mow with this one....Course I spent more $$$ for the electric start so it will be replaced..
