I am so disappointed in myself! I cannot seem to stop eating. I am an emotional eater and my emotions are all over the place. I am clear up to 261 as of this morning. I don't know what to do. I usually get plain popcorn for myself to snack on. But I am out. And I was at the gas station getting my favorite coffee and came face to face with a cream cheese, blueberry pastry. before I knew it, I was in the car munchin' out. My hungry button won't shut off.

We all have days like that, try and keep yourself busy. If you're working on something, keeping your hands busy it's less likely you'll be munching on something. If you never feel satisfied maybe it's a medical problem, like with the thyroid, check it out then.

Is there something going on that heightening your emotions? I know when there is a lot of stress going down in my life, I turned to food. Just take some time for you and reflect on what's going on, how it's affecting you, and does that issue take your power. Don't put power somewhere that isn't gonna have a positive return. And if you do have a set back, deal with it, but don't live there. Good luck! And you can do anything you want if you willing.

I have the same issue you do :) and I tend to just eat without a reason. I have found that I need to drink or have a cup of water or green tea almost constantly beside me, with me, in my hand even to stop it sometimes. But Cindy has a great point to try and reflect on what is getting to your emotions that is the cause. Best of luck Girl, you can do this, you are strong, and you are worth it!

I can totally relate to emotional eating and going for the wrong foods just because we've told ourselves we're hungry. The problem is that the pastries and things we go for aren't really filling foods, so we still feel hungry or feel hungry again in a short amount of time. Try eating an apple or some other type of sweet fruit. It's more filling, less calories and has fiber and other things that will benefit you. Even better, trying drinking a glass of water and then asking yourself if you're still hungry.

Perhaps read and research low carbohydrate food plans - white flour items, rice, pasta, breads, etc. are all carbohydrates that act like sugar - that is what keeps your craving alive. Protein and healthy fats will help you shut off the hungry button!

Your emotions are very real. Maybe there is a message there but we are here to talk about food. Best advice I have found is eat real food. Real cream, real butter, the best grass fed beef, the best ice cream, the best cookies. When you are confronted with emotions, go for the good clean (and expensive, yes) stuff.
