JDbowler's Journal, 01 June 2015

What a Monday it is. I received my APAP machine on Friday, and the sleep I got this weekend was excellent. It was worth the wait, but it sucked having to work so hard to fight to get it. It startled my wife on the first night, it's so quiet. She complained because it was so quiet, she didn't know how she was going to fall asleep. Apparently, my snoring soothed her and after becoming accustomed to it for 6 years, it's a big change. I just thought you all would like to know. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Haha, your wife is a better woman than me! I made my hubby finish a room in the basement for me to sleep. Between his snoring keeping me up and my elbowing him to shut up keeping him up, neither of us could sleep! So happy it's working out for you! I think good sleep helps tremendously with weight loss efforts!

It sucks that you had to fight so much to get a medically necessary device. I used to have a CPAP and it takes a few weeks for you to get completely used to it. You are going to get a clearer mind and your blood pressure will likely drop from using it...enjoy!!

Some people really do like that sound of snoring and can't fall asleep without it. NikkiJP and I would have it so much easier if we were one of those people LOL

:) Maybe she can turn on a small desk fan to replace the sound. It's good to see it helps you - now you can be truely restful
