Tai-Lin's Journal, 08 May 2015

My daughter took me to Northwest Trek for an early Mother's Day last weekend, and we took a bus tour to see large animals (bison, elk, mountain goats, etc.) in their natural habitat. Then we did a lot of walking to see smaller forest animals, the gift shop, etc. The only thing I can think of that caused me to lose a little over a pound is the walking. Today I am going to be outside working on my fence; painting boards, screwing them to posts, etc., so hopefully, I will lose a tiny bit more. And the next two day after today, I can only have fluids, because I have a colonoscopy schedules for Monday, so I'm hoping that will cause at least another pound or two loss (although I can think of much more pleasant ways to do it!)
188.4 lb Lost so far: 11.6 lb.    Still to go: 33.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.4 lb a week

Sounds good, Tai-Lin! Not the colonoscopy though or the ordeal before it!

Your weight history is out of the red zone now! Fluids only and prepping - been there and done that. Weigh yourself before you go to the colonoscopy. :)

Thank you all for your good wishes and kind comments. I greatly appreciate your encouragement. When I tried to weigh this morning, the battery on my scale was too low to let me weigh, and I haven't changed it, yet. If I have a new (right-sized) battery, I will change it and weigh shortly, before I eat anything! If I don't have the correct battery, I will have to get one first. Wishing you all a great day

Hope you bought a new battery for your scale. :)

Thanks, Deb, i did get a new battery and have replaced the bad one, but will have to wait until tomorrow to weigh, as my daughter and I went to lunch after my colonoscopy, and I usually weigh first thing in the morning before I dress or eat anything .My colonoscopy went well today (and I'd rather go through that again than go through the prep I went through yesterday and this morning!)The doctor found one polyp which is being biopsied, but he said he doesn't think it's anything to worry about, just a "make sure" thing. I previously had a small section of my colon removed due to a suspicious-looking polyp, but it turned out not to be malignant.
